Love the concept of an endless card game battler!
Presentation is very solid, those cards are very stylish and physical during gameplay. Sound really helps sell that too. I couldn't ever survive very far, and it took me a bit to realize I could spend a turn to move a hero. Death definitely was inevitable though! One round I started with four shadow beasts and didn't even try to do anything lol.
I could easily get into playing this more if it were a little less inevitable and had some unlock mechanics ;) Felt very polished though and mechanically very sound.

Looking forward to playing this James! Would love to do it on stream, but if our paths don't meet I'll write another comment and let you know what I thought <3

I really like the main menu xD .

The sounds seems a bit close of Inscryption, right :p ?

The card seems to be in a format close to the American Poker I think, it's original.

Oh yeah this looks so damn like Inscryption it's crazy xD .

But I like the economy part and the fact you can move your heros.

I like the concept but the game seems unballanced, in particular since we lack of hero, and they become more and more expensive, but our money never grow that much.
Plus, no hero have perks, I think it's sad for this kind of game.

Another great game from James. It was very fun. Not gonna lie, I was getting frustrated that I was not able to win until I got the main idea... :D
Love the concept, the art and the SFX.

Amazing polish and quite fun for a jam game. Everything has a "real" feel to it like they are actual physical objects. Loved it.

This was really fun! Neat concept! Im wondering, are the cards you draw completely random? or is it some sort of deck you are going through?

I had a lot of fun playing this, if i were to add something it would be cards with som other effects, like some sort of AoE card for example.

Good job! Keep it up!

@leiv-erik the cards you draw are from a set deck but shuffled differently every time :) I'd love to have more card effects for sure, it's something I'm thinking about expanding on more! :)

I'm a sucker for card games so had to give it a shot, It was quite enjoyable, I did feel like there wasn't much meaning full choice it the actions I could take but that might just be me not fully understanding all my options. In general it was well executed and felt nice to play. Nice entry!

This was neat to play!
One thing I will say is frustrating is when the spikes spawn and get auto-attacked, thus killing you with no chance of repair. ;-;
Ah well, I got to level 50 and had a good time - well done and thank you. =)

Impressive entry, very well polished for a game jam and there were some nice elements of strategy in the gameplay. Nice job! :)

James! as you saw on stream, I had a blast with this! One or two elements are missing to make it feel a solid formula, but if you keep working on it - you may be able to find those missing pieces to make it feel complete! It felt influenced by a certain award winning card game, but also felt different. The card design was funny, Ninja Gary was me best boi. Until I met the Wrestling Champ!!

Inscryption did it better

Just kidding. This was an interesting attempt, and I think with more balancing the gameplay could be pretty good.

My two big gripes are that the presentation could be way better (even for a jam game) and that there was no built-in tutorial. I understand that time was limited when making this, but I had no idea what I was doing for the first couple games, and didn't even spot the "buy new hero" thing until a few games in.

Solid strategy game, had me going for a long time, but the spikes make it inevitable that you die when you auto attack when new cards spawn. Also found an exploit, if there is one attacking enemy you can place a card face down for them to attack and then you can draw 2 card for the rest of the actions, which means you get one plus card pr rotation with no consequences and can use it to get infinite cards on your hand. Maybe there should be a maximum limit of cards you can have on your hand to prevent this.
A great engaging game, lot of polish and detail which is very appreciated!

What a surprisingly deep and engaging entry! Was a very enjoyable process learn all the abilities and combinations of buying, attacking, and defending - making an endless card game was a genius idea. I loved how it was implemented too, with the physical cards flying about, and the little bowl of hearts.
Also, every card game me a giggle - great game!

I love the way you display health and coins with actual objects it looks so much better than just a progress bar

Very nicely polished entry, well done! It took a while for me to figure out what the first row is for (I just assumed you have to play cards there to activate them), but the instructions are clear enough once you actually read them :p
The game works quite well, although it gets repetitive a bit too fast. It would be cool to have some card effects (either enemy or in hand) which move around cards already on the table.

Very nice graphics and control scheme.

Neat concept!

Card designs and graphics were fun. Audio and sound effects

Might be interesting to add some upgrade elements between waves. Some way to heal would also be nice (unless I missed it).

Wow, nicely done! There was a surprising amount to this game given the time constraints. It seemed like I should just get 5 heroes out, but then the spikes and double wave advance prevent that from working for too long. The balance felt good and I had a good time, thanks for putting that together.
