@tatawanda @xiris @borchezz Yeah there were a few concepts we would have liked to explain/teach better such as the box/barrel destruction and weapon switching but we didn't think of it soon enough :(
@abdonatioera sad to hear about the technical issues, with the webbuild you might have to click inside of the viewport before you can move (it doesn't always have focus). Not sure what caused the issue in the windows build but thanks for reporting it!
One minor issue I had was the lag. I can only play the web version because I'm on linux, and it was just pretty laggy for my laptop. A downloadable version should fix that.
Controls were nice and responsive (except for the lag) and the horror element was done very nicely. Great job!
EDIT: I tried it and almost nothing was rendering. The sound was playing but other things weren't. It could just be my computer. Either way, the web version works well enough, so thanks for at least trying.
Strenghts:
- Great visual design
- Shooting feels great: the projecticle is fast and hast impact. Moving feels great, too: the character is fast and responsive
- Variety induced by the crates and the car
Possible improvements:
- The maze-like level design was maybe a bit too much at the start of the game.
Great work!
Otherwise, I dig the aesthetic of this game. Would be nice if the characters popped a bit more, but that's a pretty minor complaint. Well done!
@coleslaughter Yeah the car was originally intended to be used a lot more throughout the game, but when we made the final take on the level it ended up being a bit too close to the end and a less prominent feature because of it :(
