It works cool, but not on the topic

Mario who? Punch bean is where it's at! Great job, fun to play/explore and I love the character.

Unfortunately the world felt a bit too empty to me, I like the little enemies and the roll mechanic (altough it could use a small cooldown period). But a lot of the time I was just slowly running through this large mostly empty world...

Maybe add some more enemies throughout the world?

Anyway, congrats on the game!

Edit: I also appreciate the controller support :)

@sega23333 yeah there was a planned mechanic for the main character to be a bomb and enemy kills to delay his detonation, but unfortunately time constraints nixed that. Now you can delay the inevitable end of the game by procrastination! Lol

@dan-allison thanks for playing! I really focused on the character controller this time trying to improve my skills in that area.

@lonelyliongames yeah I agree scale was not something I accounted for very well. I think it really needs a shrink and some more enemy types. Thanks for playing!

Very polished graphic, when playing with gamepad the camera sometimes does wired motions. I am very impressed because it's a solo project in this short Time

This was pretty fun but like @lonelyliongames said, the world was way too big.
A sprint mechanic is a great way to make moving around a large world feel less tedious. Even if it still takes too long, watching your character move faster makes it feel a lot better.

Also, how can you have such shiny and attractive looking coins but NO pickup sound effect? I was so disappointed when I didn't hear at least a little jingle or sparkle noise. Also you have to add a lot more coins to the world. That alone would make it feel less empty and encourage the player to go off the main path

Well done with the visuals! Gives me Breath of the Wild / Nintendo vibes.

The graphics look good. I liked the exploring aspect of the game. I also liked the jump section where you had to jump over the bridge.

A few things you could improve on.

When falling down the bridge into the water it is quite frustrating having to start from the beginning. Maybe reset me to the start of the bridge and let me try again.

At the end of the small dungeon I'd like a bigger reward than just one coin. Maybe a heart to refill my health or just a bigger bunch of coins. Just to make it worth it. Also a nice pling sound when collecting a coin would be nice!

The fighting felt a bit boring. Also the enemies were so small. I feel they should go down in 1-2 punches. (in my opinion :D)
Maybe concentrate on one enemy and make it as fun as possible to fight against.

All in all I really enjoyed playing. Good job! Keep it up!

Had a good time with this one! Impressive graphics, you managed to get 2 enemy types, collectables, and multiple abilities for your character (really liked the uppercut then smash down combo)

Had some serious issues with the controls though (on the gamepad) - there didn't seem to be any dead zone implemented, so whenever I even mildly touched the camera everything started spinning around wildly, so I had to ignore it.

Also, if you mash the attack button, you kinda get locked into a punching combo and have to wait it out before the dodge roll becomes available. Not sure if that was intentional or not, but I found it frustrating.

Loved the slap sound effects and your little bean dude. Double jump and dodge roll felt really good to use.

Good job!

Good job! I don't know if it's just me, but when I punch with the mouse, the camera stops following the character.

Nice game! I'm only missing a relaxing music and everything to be a little bit more compressed on one side of the map. Other than that good job!
