Low Tide by Knipsch

You picked the wrong tide pool today, and all the water is draining out through holes in the rocks. Fortunately you're an octopus, so you're smart and you've got a lot of arms. Grab other marine life, stuff 'em in holes in the wall, and survive as long as you can!

I was curious about the engine/tools used, but I can't access the source code, maybe the repository is set to private?
My game engine was Unity 2020.3.17f, my render pipeline was the URP, I used Blender for 3D assets, Krita for 2D assets and some of the textures, Substance Painter for other textures, Audacity for cleaning up sound effects (which I made myself in a quiet room using my phone microphone), and Ableton Live Lite for the music.
Art style is obviously a highlight for a compo game! Cute sounds too!
Thanks for the upload!
It's a impressive result for such little time.
I've faced just one issue when i was playing, the camera is a little bit confuse sometimes when i need to turn around with the captured creatures. I think that this kind of game can work better if it has a topdown or isometric camera.
But even tho, i really love it! It's very cute <3
Good job !
I'm not sure if the octopus is a genius or an idiot for trying to block the tide pool with fish.
Silly octopus!
Other than the camera, the whole game is very player friendly with lots of audio and visual gameplay feedback. Things like the exclamation marks indicating the gaps are small but super helpful things that you don't really appreciate until they aren't there but are so easy to forget about when you're developing a game since it's obvious to the creator how to play the game. So well done for making it supoer easy to just pick up and play! Took almost no time at all to figure out and get into.
The graphics are incredibly impressive. So smooth and beautiful colour palette. If you created a virtual fish tank, I feel like I could happily just sit and watch that for a while. The music fit well and never got annoying and I like the pitch variatrion in the sound effects too
Overall, absolutely amazing compo submission that I can't imagine how you managed to pull off alone in that time!
