The graphics were cute and it looks super polished ! unfortunately it might be bugged :( there are way too many bonobos and I die pretty quick :(

Really fun game! I really like how the menus activate by shooting at them. It seems there is no point to charge the cannon as the large volume of enemies and time it takes to charge makes it not worth doing.

This is one of the greatest games in the jam. I love the art style and the menu is a very creative use of the game mechanic. I would like to see more depth to the game, maybe you could get a super coconut which clears monkeys in a radius. Great job!

This game is bananas! :monkey:

I thought it was neat that you let the player choose whether to tap or hold to charge their weapon. Then the swarm of monkeys that came in was completely unreal and I had to just mash the shoot button anyway.

I thought the storyboard to explain the story was very clever. However, it is quite long and on subsequent playthroughs I'd probably like to skip it, or at least go through it at my own pace. Then again, I'm glad to see that Big Ape gets his banana in the end

Nice graphics, and you could have something with the shooting mechanic.
But way to many monkeys at once makes it so that instead of charging a shot and aiming im just spamming wildly.

Good job delivering a game anyhow!

(Played the not updated version)

I agree that there were too many monkeys. Reading the comments it seems i accidentally switched from tap to hold ^^'

Very nice idea to control the main menu with the coconuts. Well done :)

Like others have mentioned I liked shooting my way through the intro cutscene, that was some good Ux. And yeah there were so many monkeys that you're immediately helpless. However I think I found a strafing technique that held them off for quite a bit.

But on a serious note, could you guys have picked a something better than monkeys and their bananas? That's honestly so played out....(sarcasm, my game has a similar theme :) ) Great work!

Cute graphics. A bit repetitive. A difficulty ramp would have been nice instead of just being overwhelmed from the jump. Thanks for sharing!

Cute game. I liked the art style. There were a few things I thought about when playing though:

- From the start there were so many monkies that there was no reason to use the charge mechanic. I quickly ended up just tapping the mouse as fast as possible.
- It would be good if the amount of monkies started out small and increased gradually so the player could get a feel for the game and its mechanics
- When the monkies died they flew up in the air. With so much going on I had problems telling which monkies to shoot for and which ones not to.

Nice game, graphics are really good. As others stated, there a LOT of monkeys attacking you, idk if it's a bug.
Also, the music is great!

@bekirtuncer, we had plans and art for different enemy types and powerups. Had to spend more tiem on the AI. another thing we had to cut was multiple piles to promote movement form the center. Challenges is a good idea

Very cute and funny game, good job. I encountered a bug, hope it helps: My monkey fell from the trees and disappeared from the screen! Cool idea and I enjoyed the vibe of the game, very charismatic and wholesome.

The menu using the gameplay mechanic is really sweet! Nice job. Impact sounds and death animations made it very satisfying to hit enemies, until I learned that it might be the best strategy to just rapid spam the mouse button lol.

Still a lot of fun even then! And the different shading on the trees in the background looks soooooooo good! My compliments to the art team.

This is a funny concept! Do these things and the game is really killer!

- Remove the charge mechanic. I love how many monkeys you shoot, but having to charge makes it hard to shoot them.
- In the menu, destroy the coconut when it hits a selection. I had an instance of a bouncing coconut exit the game.

This game has everything it could ever need to be great, monkey, coconut gun, bananas, and bonk sound effect. Great work it was a lot of fun playing, a little confused by the cutscene at first but I got it.
