Very impressive compo. A quick music track probably would have helped, but there is only so much time we had right? This has been one of my favorites so far.
One bug I found - the turret / pillbox doesn't seem to have any sound when firing.
On my first attempt I managed to get 354 kills. The second one went a bit better:

Really nice submission! Thanks!
Died fast in the first few rounds. But after I got the hang of it I made some great score!
The gameplay is all set, but the art and sound design could be improved.
Hope to see you in the next LD!

The only thing missing that may have been added during the compo was some kind of UI / text to explain what the different buildings were doing, would have made a huuuuge difference ! (EDIT ! I'm dumb, it's literally on the itch.io page...) I had to experiment a lot to get the hang of it. But overall, PRETTY FUN !
Also, soldier movement seems kind of buggy, they don't seem very able to move around buildings. And the wall building didn't seem particularly useful; I used it once but found that you're generally better off using a turret as a wall since it can take more damage while also killing enemies.
The controls feel a little clunky. But I love using the pause button to explain what's on screen. That let me learn a lot of information really quickly, and I was able to put things in context. Other games I've seen try to explain things in text on a separate screen, and it really helps to have the text right next to the items on the HUD.
Good job with this!
