Cthulhu Survivors by darwyn
You are on your own, no weapons just a book with more and more disturbing information. Your senses must be playing tricks on you, otherwise you can't explain the manifestations that want to harm you on the way home.
You can only defend yourself through an iron will, you feel your sanity being snatched away from you piece by piece. There is no way out. But every second you stay in the light is precious to you.
How to play
- With every enemy that hits you, you lose Sanity until you go crazy
- Maneuver out the enemies (WASD / Arrows)
- Use the torches that are scattered around the map to gain some space for a short time (BUT these only work once)
- Slowly regenerate sanity by standing in the light radius of an activated torch
- Survive as long as you can, even if it's a hopeless fight

I really liked the use of the circle of light around the character to indicate his life. I think when health is low, an indicator of where the nearest torch is would be pretty cool.
Some power ups like speed boost would also be nice.
Just curious, what is your high score?
Overall the game is super impressive for 48 hours, it's fun to give it two or three attempts.

Mechanics were good and the game "felt" right. Only downside is there didn't seem to be any collision detection with the scenery.
Very funny, that was my maximum score xD
The game was fun. I ran out of torches so I was just running for a while.
Would just point two possible upgrades: collision on things, like the church, stones, trees etc. and some sort of move like a dash or roll with a long cooldown, for a dynamic gameplay.
