Have you ever wanted to care for your own cute little Blorb?! No? Well, that's okay because their average life span is only two weeks anyway.

Look after your pet in every way in this short, tamagotchi-style, pet sim game.

Warning: This game contains content that some users could find disturbing. If you are not an adult, or you are emotionally fragile, please don't play.

This is my 2nd time doing the LD jam, I had a lot of fun this time. I think I made something quite different from what I usually do.

All assets and code produced by myself.

An interesting statement on capitalism? Good fit for the theme!

Poor Blorb. Great idea for the prompt "Delay the inevitable"!

Wow, this is a sad game. Very polished and many great touches, like the fly particle system.

That was fun, loved the graphics, the music was fitting and set a good chill mood. Also love that the blorb changes color depending on the mood. Great stuff

Cute bad sad :(
I can see people playing this over and over again to get a high score. I didn't wait around until I could bury him, but it would be interesting (and grim) if you could have a 2nd slime while the first one is still decaying.

Great entry! Still a bit sad that I needed to wait just to have a proper burial. I mean, I work like crazy for this job and they couldn't even loan me some money.

I'm very good at giving pets. My blorb survived to 22 on the first play. I unfortunately think I misplayed my medicine too soon, could probably have pushed a few more days.
Liked the mood, it was very cute (until my blorb passed away) good entry :)

Fun and simple entry! I enjoy the fundamentals of the game loop here, but my blorb never got sick so I didn't get to experience it all. Although it stayed true to the Tamagotchi play style, I found it quite boring after a couple minutes. I suppose it's a rather "meta" experience though, since I inevitably left the game and my poor blorb will starve.

Rare that a Ludum Dare game evokes as many emotions as this one. At first it was "wow, this is cute and adorable!"

Then I thought of what the theme was, and that was a sinking feeling. The ending is upsetting, and I applaud you on that! Very well done. It's very polished too, so kudos on that. The visuals and audio are exactly what they need to be, too.

My poor, poor blorb. At least I gave him a good burial :(((. RIP sponge

I really really loved this, there's so many great little touches that make the player invest and feel responsible for the blorb so that when the ending comes it really hits you. The visuals and audio are perfect for lulling you into a false sense of security and the progressively more disturbing sprites at the end are distressing in all the right ways. The ending properly had an effect on me and to make something with this much weight in a game jam is seriously impressive, well done!

What a cute little "keep it alive" game! Interesting fact, that the burial cost more than the entire money I spent on him before his death. A fun game that fits the theme well. Well done!

I kept my little RedShirt alive for about 3 weeks, then he died and rotted away before I could bury him.
At least his skull likes being patted.

Good work overall. Even had the flies and maggots and flies again. Nice touch.

A tree in the background would be nice.

Managed to surprise me, although I had my suspicions after 'adult' warning, good job. Reminds me of doki doki in spirit, not as hardcore of course.

Touching little game that hits the theme!

It would be nice to be able to interact more with our blorb or clean up poop manually by "petting" the poop.

Definitely inevitable! A better job would cover the final costs before only a skull is left.
Great entry and take on the theme!

this game just refuses to work on mac os for me ]: the downloadable version says it's damaged and can't be opened, the web version crashes in chrome after i press "start playing", in firefox it somehow crashes the whole browser. i tried compiling it from the source code but then still just crashes without giving me any reason

edit: seems like this was somehow caused by the sky shader, i have no idea why but replacing it with just solid blue made it work! great little game, i feel so sad for my blorb though ]:
