mote by KianaMosser

you are small and transient, like a mote of dust drifting through rays of light in the morning sky..
and yet, you exist in this ethereal world.

Well done!
Really beautiful work.
@bigdylann Thanks! It's not just you - we didn't have enough time to put in the settings menu or custom camera system, but it will be fixed in our post-jam update!
@steffo I would love to, but unfortunately I don't have a machine with the proper specs to dev, test, and build on Mac or Linux :(
@sivarde Thanks for the feedback! Since there's no tutorial on controls yet I can see that it's easy to miss, but you can also interact with the creatures if you press the "sing" button when you're close enough to them. I'd love for us to add more interactions with this throughout the environment!
I plan to remaster, reduce the volume and intensity for some of those sounds you mentioned :)
@proxy-games Thanks! I'm glad to hear you think we were able to execute our vision for the atmosphere! When adding more content later, we'll keep that in mind.
Some direction about what are you supposed to do at the start would be very welcome as well.
Other than that, great stuff!
But I feel like the gameplay part, which encourage you to go as quickly as possible from point A to point B if you do not want to lose, is a bit off with the intended vision and add some kind of challenge that feels unecessary.
I would have loved to spend more time in your universe, singing with those little creatures, instead of dashing my way through the end of the game, which feels suggested by the gameplay mechanics.
I really liked the overall experience though and you definitively made a good job, especially on the mood!
Great stuff, quite enjoyable!
* Transient space rabbit almost fades out of existence, but eats light to survive.
* Makes friends with a bunch of space blobs & space jellyfish.
* What's not to love?
One of the blobs didn't talk back, and I was dismayed
the footsteps / dash seemed a little loud to me, but overall the audio side of things is very nice! I love how there's a unique audio effect to go along with the unique visual elements. The final room where the music plays when you walk is a nice touch too. I dig the visual style, the rings of light that surround the start/end points are neat, lots of nice contrasting eye candy throughout. Well done!
