I don't quite understand the storyline, but it doesn't really matter, the game is just a BLAST!
Nicely Done!
Fits the theme really well, being always reminded of the time running out kept me on the edge. Good job!
Awesome design that runs very smoothly. Thumbs up!
Additional praise to the design choice of not having to wait for an animation to end before the next move is allowed. It provides some very smooth-yet-snappy movement.
I didn't get the timer though, it seemed pretty random? I swear i lost sometimes with timer left in the 300s.
One of my top picks so far, well done!

Otherwise, great game, good job!
Really cool concept and a simple yet effective main mechanic. Great job
It took me a minute to figure out what the heck I was doing, but then I happily played until I unlocked everything. It has a warioware sort of feel to it. The art and sound mix well, though I think there's room for a little more immersive sound while playing. Great entry here!
@daniilprasolov There are like 30 levels at the moment. You unlock more of them with the game progression :)
!> Also I took until the pawn promotion to release it was about chess rules :D
I also liked the graphics a lot and would love to see it released for mobile in the future. :)
I really like how the game teaches itself by starting simple then ramping up the difficulty gradually.
@oadt @yaen Definityly there will be more levels in the future. Mayby even generic generated?
@yaen Animated tile- great idea! We will add that for sure
@bqq that's our secreat plan. Teach people basic rules of chess without their knowlage
@ocwal Dude, you take part in Ludum Dare and your game is great- you must be smart. Mobile- thats our plan
@nsadie Thx! Your chess game is even beter
My only gripe is some levels are repeated too often and need to be varied.
Minor issue: The yellow outline for the end isn't so easy to spot at first.
good game
I was a bit confused about the game at first because the grids were empty for so long, but eventually some enemeis showed up! And that part was really fun trying to be fast about it \o/
Overall, well done!
Would love to see a variation on the levels that were more varied, possibly randomly generated rather than the set levels that were designed but understandable due to the limitations of the jam. There are also some accessibility points that can be improved on, mainly in terms of visibility of the goal (non-enemy but rather the yellow target) that is hard to see with the lighter colour backgrounds.
Overall great and addictive gameplay that is quick to learn and fun to play around in. Love the complete package of the loop swapping between the black counting timer and the bright, colourful levels to add to the game feel as well!
Here's my high score:
