"The struggle itself ... is enough to fill a man's heart. One must imagine Sisyphus happy"

"The workman of today works every day in his life at the same tasks, and this fate is no less absurd. But it is tragic only at the rare moments when it becomes conscious."

All quotes above are from Albert Camus. All in all, we can't delay the inevitable. The boulder will roll down again. The work will need to be done again. You can delay, slack negligence it all you want, but it has to be done. Again, again, again, and so on. Sisyphus may be happy but we are just doomers who faded to work until our final and inevitable demise.

And like all classics arcades, your goal is to delay the inevitable end of the game and maybe have some fun in it, like Sisyphus rolling his rock up and down. We added a little twist to it: your coworkers remember you: you can play all you want, but it has to end so you can work more

We opted for pinball machine-like from the gameplay and development side, using most of Godot's physics engine and less code. We have some issues and the game may seem unpolished since we hadn't time to balance it enough. Anyway, we wish to pass this doomer vibe while you can enjoy the visuals and music until the inevitable end.

Edit 1: just put the image on this page. No changes in the game were done

Edit 2: patch note: corrected typos in the instruction windows. Now it's correct. Thank you all for the feedback

A really solid pinball game. I like the enemy mechanic with the workers heading to the bottom; they were surprisingly easy to hit and the board was well engineered with this mechanic in mind. I was a little upset that I couldn't hold the accuation of the flippers by pressing and holding the button, typically I cradle a pinball as part of my playstyle. The music was very nice. Overall a solid experience! Nice to see a pinball game make it into this Jam.

The atmosphere was great. I liked the music a lot, it fit very well. The graphics could use a little work though, I was a bit confused at first as to why I was dying, I didn't realize the lives were going down. Maybe indicate that a little more somehow.

Nice game! Making a pinball game was a great move to match the theme.

Not to mention that it trully is inevitable that a ball is going to get stuck in this area eventually x)

One more thing: The controls are wrong. It say in the game that you use QW for the pedals and AS to shake, but it's actually QE and AD

Omg pinball is so smart for this theme?? Never would've crossed my mind. I really enjoyed it as I haven't played in a while! Nice job on the atmosphere, I liked the theme of your pinball game!

I love having a pinball game where you're hitting coworkers away! Great idea. The music felt really, really good. I would recommend a faster moving ball the increase the energy and excitement and bigger paddles to counter it.

The screens says the paddles are Q and W, but actually they are Q and E :p

Pinball seems like the perfect analogy for this theme, well done!

Great music, gorgeous cover, and nice gameplay. I also liked that you can shake the screen. I had a very pleasant time playing your game, I hope it will someday be released in the full version

I haven't played pinball in ages!! Pretty solid. I would suggest maybe making the pallets be able to be held in place if you hold the button. That was a tactic I used to always use playing pinball when I was like 10 lol.

Interesting idea, having enemies marching toward you that you need to hit! Unique take on pinball. I like your cover art aesthetic. Wish that were more integrated into the game!

Great pinball, reminds me Windows XP's space cadet!
Nice to see Godot represented as well. You have a nice, although quite depressing, story to tell :)
