Honestly, I struggled a lot with making the character controller in this, so the game might be a bit lacking in features.

Very funny and addictive :thumbsup:

When I turn left, the snowboarder goes right! For me it is disappointing.

I had fun playing this. Dying was actually my favourite part, the animation and the noises sold it. Great entry.

The death scene is 10/10 and love that you have some small improvements just as the controls on the main menu (could have done with that myself), and a small opening cutscene is great too

* Game is a bit slow/laggy on my machine.
* Snowboard is a bit slow (maybe my machine or the speed feels slow)
* Nice intro scene. Maybe it should auto start the game, I was waiting 10s expecting something to happen.
* The physics feels a bit wonky. When you're going left you should be able to turn with your momentum (and even go up a bit?), but instead it breaks.
* Cool graphics
* Nice submission!

Great game, I had a lot of fun ! Slowing down the gameplay when perpendicular to the slope was a great touch !

The character controller feels very much like you're riding a snowboard, so good job with it, it was definitely worth that time investment. Its a very important skill to be able to prioritize whats important in a project with a short time. Yeah there could be more features potentially but the gameplay is solid even though im terrible at it.

Great game...reminds me of one I played like this on C64. Great sound and nice slow-mo effect on running into a rock.

Okay, so first off, I love the controls. Very innovative and interesting. The art is also great, very good use of the theme as well. Things to improve on would probably be to make the game a little more forgiving early on. Overall, really great entry, I'm a fan.

Hey nice one, I like the overall calm ambiance of the game. I think it's a good sign when I find that it's laking a quick retry button :).
These death animation/screen are the BEST.

Really fun game! The turning controls were reversed from what I expected them to be (which is kinda weird because the arrow keys turned you in the direction you pressed. I guess I want to control snowboards kinda like an airplane?) I agree with everyone above the death screen and slomo were very good.

Always like these kind of games when I was a kid, it was a nice throwback!
Would be nice if there was more variety in it, although I understand that we all had very little time.
Good job, nice ending scene!

I lost the cout of how many times I died! hahaha
I couldnt control well the snowboarder, so i died too many times before I got some points and jump in a plataform.
I like snowboarding games, and i really tried to explore all mechanics, but i seriously died at least 20 times before my surrender at the doom peak.
Probably i am horrible playing this kind of games, but something that would be nice it would be if the return to start screen was faster. Sometimes i died hitting the first tree/rock and the slowmotion interrupt me to reset the play again.
And for last, the sound of him dying was funny ahahah

Congratulations! (sorry for any bad typo :) :) )

The bonk sound effect combined with the death screen was just so funny to me for some reason ahaha! Really lovely game! I like how the snowboarder feels to control. Having to take a risk to go for a big trick not knowing when the next tree or rock will just show up was very tense and exciting. I got a lot of fun and laughter out of this game. Great job!

I enjoyed the game and wanted to play it more. I was one of the people for whom the directions felt backwards. That made it really hard for me to control the character. I skated goofy foot so maybe that is why. I tried spinning the board at the start thinking maybe that would help but no luck. Maybe it could be an option if you work on it more.

It seems most people liked the physics too. For me when going fast and then trying to turn I felt I should be able to cut into the snow and make a sharp fast turn but the model didn't work that way. It seemed to take a while to respond. I think a lot of the physics response is up to preference, playtesting and iteration. Not much time for that in this jam!

Overall I really liked it. I think the 3D modeling was very good for the short timeframe. Impressive that you were able to fit that in. Music would be a nice addition but the sounds worked well.

Great job making a fun game in 48 hours!

@blockerz i actually skate goofy foot too, I think i just made a monstrosity of a character controller. Thank you for the feedback though! Definetely would have made it a lot better if I had more time, but I spent the first day struggling with the controls and stuck with what seemed to work at least a little.

@zantze You did a great job! Clap for the goofy skaters. :)

I know how it goes with the pressure of the weekend. You have to make a call when something is good enough and move on. There is not time to sit and tweak to perfection or you could never finish. That is the fun and the pain.

Nice game ! I liked the sound effects, in death it looked like the snowboarder enjoyed a bit too much getting hit by a tree, it's quite funny X)
I had a high score of 550, don't know if it's good or bad ^^

The game has great vibes! It really feels like one of those flash games from back in the day, and the controller for the character is very good. It would be nice if you could carry a bit more of your momentum around corners. The gameplay was very fun overall, and even just cruising around without going for points was a fun experience. I would recommend mixing in some sort of distance-based score or mode since the scoring felt a bit more based on the luck of what you encounter rather than how far/precisely you make it through the run. Really fantastic work overall!
