Cool simulation, not really sure what I'm supposed to be doing other than watching it, but watching it is pretty fun, would be cool to add different colors for each life if that even makes sense, could be trippy and cool :)
Very nice game. I'm always interested to see cellular automata used in games but it's rare to find one that fits so well. The rule for when the life counts as "dead" is a bit unclear, but I imagine that was one of the hardest parts of the game. The rule is pretty robust, whatever it is, since I discovered a small two-ant oscillator and a way to make a diamond that slowly grows arbitrarily large - and the game did not give me score for either of them. It is a bit frustrating to lose while a ladder is being built on a collision course with another ladder, but I suppose that is just the rule of the game.
I didn't know about Langton's ant, nice to learn about that. It happened to me that an ant was undoing its highway, that was fascinating to see! Is it because they reach the world's edge?
I reached 710482 life time.
