great "Game of life" inspired game, very fun to watch the patterns!

Cool simulation, not really sure what I'm supposed to be doing other than watching it, but watching it is pretty fun, would be cool to add different colors for each life if that even makes sense, could be trippy and cool :)

Really unique, was expecting the game to just be a conways game of life playground but I it wasn't, had so much fun looking at the patterns.

@andy-beers 你唯一能决定的是新生命的位置,这是我的错,我没有足够的时间去完善它,“add different colors for each life”听起来是个有意思的主意

Langton's ant! People in the comments don't seem to realize it's Langton's ant, not an original game of life inspired cellular automaton. And for what it's worth, it's a good simulation, clean UI, nice functionalities like speeding up time. I only wasn't sure what the blinking of ant lifes means, because they were still walking around. Or when do they die and if I can do something about it. Some description would be nice. Either way, good entry!

Very nice game. I'm always interested to see cellular automata used in games but it's rare to find one that fits so well. The rule for when the life counts as "dead" is a bit unclear, but I imagine that was one of the hardest parts of the game. The rule is pretty robust, whatever it is, since I discovered a small two-ant oscillator and a way to make a diamond that slowly grows arbitrarily large - and the game did not give me score for either of them. It is a bit frustrating to lose while a ladder is being built on a collision course with another ladder, but I suppose that is just the rule of the game.

I thought the game was broken because it wouldn't do anything, but it was because the speed was set to X0. Maybe add some labels or tutorial!

I didn't know about Langton's ant, nice to learn about that. It happened to me that an ant was undoing its highway, that was fascinating to see! Is it because they reach the world's edge?

I reached 710482 life time.

Hello. I am a big fan of Conway's Game Of Life. I can spent all my day watching some patterns evoluting. You made something clever in order to fit with the theme - and it works pretty well. Of course, the main aesthetic is absolutly minimalist, but I like it. Thank you for this entry. 我是法国人。 我学习中文。

Cool implementation of Langton's Ant.
