made by Minaus for Ludum Dare 50 (JAM)

My task is to search and find the life-crystal hidden somewhere. This cave is strange, everytime i turn off my light things seems to move positions. Though it could become handy to progress !

I haven't had time to show/explain the keys in the game.

AD : Movement Spacebar : Jump LeftClick : Turn On/Off Lights RightClick or E : Pickup Crystals/Loot Corpses

You are stuck ? Have you tried turning your light off and on ?!

very nice game. It reminds me a lot of the game I used to think about in the past but I never started developing. It's good to see that at least someone is fulfilling my dreams

You did an exceelent job with the game. However, there is no easy way to quit that I could find. Also, you should probably offer a way to skip the beginning

This was a fun game, took me a while to figure out the mechanic, but it's a great concept. Very good submission!!

Awesome! The game looked amazing, especially the lighting. It was a cool platforming puzzle mechanic that the environment changed. Overall it felt really polished.

@chanjohann Ah damn I'm sad to hear that, I did not imagine my game to be difficult to run =/
Thanks the intro skip is a good idea I don't know why I did not think of it before

So, i was able to get that big blue crystal finally. But failed to bring it back ;( My lamp ran out and at that point i started to spawn without a lamp just to die in several seconds. (I guess you just ran out of time, but I really missed some lamp charge indicator, since it's vital and I collect crystals to recharge it). It's also took a while for me to understood how exactly the main mechanic is working - those moments of darkness are quite confusing. But i guess that's on purpose, and I liked to be confused like that :) Overall - lightning and sounds are awesome + interesting main mechanic - that's an awesome job you've done here!

This is a pretty solid platformer with a very unique core mechanic. The overall package is great, including the music, sound effects, and atmospheric visuals. There are quite a few small issues that I found, though. The platforming could use some polish. You can jump again before touching the ground completely, and the shape of the capsule collider is very apparent as it lets the player crawl up the corners of platforms in a rather unnatural way.

The lamp charge was no concern at all for me. I was able to complete the entire game without it running out. I didn't even realize that it could run out until I read some of these comments. Maybe having it flicker or get dimmer as it gets low would make the threat more apparent without taking away from the chilling uncertainty. A similar effect for the player's health would be smart, just something to let me know when I'm low.

Another thing that really jumped out to me is how easy it is to get stuck in walls. While it (impressively) doesn't break the game, fidgeting around inside barriers is never a good look, imo. Maybe you could do something like in A Link to the Past, where when you world change into a wall, it goes through, shows you your mistake, and then immediately sends you back.

Overall, this is a really good entry. I especially like the lighting and atmosphere. There were no huge glaring issues that I saw. As I said, it was just a bunch of nitpicks. Good work.

This is cool! Just a quick note, though: you need to turn on "Do not rate me in Audio" on the edit page for your game, since you did not create the music during the jam.
