This is really fun! The music was a highlight, though you have to get kinda good at the game to hear it in all of it's glory. I managed to get all of SKATE (admittedly with a few savestates) and a score of 8963. I had a lot of fun with this, thanks for a great entry!

This is basically just the manual mechanic from Tony Hawk. It just does not work as a stand alone game in my opinion. It is fun for about a minute though.

Very Very cool, No savestates here, but got to SKA, so I'm proud. The best part is that this is a ROM, you are the second team/group/person to do a ROM based game, and I think I need to go make one myself sometime, haha. Thanks for a fun game!

Really nice. I didn't expect a gameboy game here. You deserve an innovation perfect score. Nice work!

I liked the balancing mechanic and the art style, high marks in innovation for making a GB rom. I was always terrible at the manuals in skating games, but it was cool to use that as its own game (very nostalgic). Only managed to get to SKA. Great concept and execution.

This is so awesome!!

I have no idea how I would get this running in a gameboy, will have to get an emulator 🤔🤔

A Gameboy game! That's super cool! Gameplay is fun (even if it's the part I sucked at in the Pro Skater games :confounded:). Overall really enjoyed this game!

I LOVE IT! It's so awesome and cute, I loved the music, and the idea is super unique, and massive props to using C and the game boy dev kit, because I bet that was a nightmare  I personally used Rust. (My favorite programming language) and my best score was 2465

Really like the collect the letters mechanic. The level art was fantastic, loved the 3d pixel art style. Got into serious focus trying to collect the second letter. Had a fun time playing.

@eboatwright sound guy checking in, watching the homies get down coding this was stressful to watch :joy: Things on my end were also a bit funky having to use a tracker lol was a wild ride from start to finish! On behalf of the Ghost in the Toast team, thank you all for the feedback! <3

@conduit Well, you did a great job with the music! Yeah, I feel bad for them having to code in C XD I did my code in Rust :crab:

This game is a good case study in the virtues of making something very simple and polishing it to a sheen. It's almost too simple, but the SKATE letters are a great way of keeping it replayable. It took me a while to realize that keeping a direction held down doesn't do anything more than just tapping it once, and that the proper way of leaning harder in a given direction is to tap that direction multiple times. I had to fight my instincts to internalize that.

That's one polished Gameboy game! The moving while leaning mechanic was nice though I was only able to get up to SKA, a bit disappointed that going out of the door didn't have a secret ending but understandable given the situation (like shipping a whole damn GB ROM in three days :D). Love the music and art as well, great work everyone!

I always love playing new homebrews for the classic gameboy!

This game is simple but has the charm of the gb graphics and plays nicely.

My best score was 1032 that I will try to beat it someday.

This is a really neat game! Way cool to make a gameboy rom. Simple but well done mechanic, I love how the little dude looks.
