Sheep Heard by ChrisAntem

[raw]
made by ChrisAntem for Ludum Dare 50 (JAM)

Help Michel, a shepherd dog, lead the sheep to safety from the many hungry wolves. But your instructions need to spread into the fresh air of the meadow, so it can be delayed. Will you pass the seven levels ? Buttons : arrow keys to shout a direction, spacebar to shout Michel to stop.

Note : there is a bug on a level, so you can not actually finish the game. We will release a fixed version after the results.

Ok, this is great! Very unique mechanic that feels confusing at first but brilliant once you master it. I don't think I've ever seen something like it before where you need to take into account the travel time for the "movement" to apply. Great graphics and music/sfx as well. Love how the sheep are rolling. Overall an awesome game!

Nice game! The idea is really original, the graphics are amazing and the gameplay is funny. I was having fun until in this level my sheeps arrived to the limit but nothing happened. :( Nice job anyway! ^^![SheepsBug.PNG](///raw/a9a/81/z/4af49.png)

In the two first trying I can't understand how working this game, but after... Good. Very good! Games without the direct control of the player - is hard, but intersting and original. Well done

Great job! I have never seen a game quite like this and it was very well executed. Really awesome job, we love the art.

Really interesting gameplay, it's very clever, but quite difficult to controls, the delayed input and the speed of the wolf make it very hard to handle the movement of the dog correctly.
Anyway, this is just balancing and I can't expect something perfect for a jam. The art is nice, the sounds are cool, the concept it clever, really well done!

Very clever gameplay that took a lot to get used too but is very fun. The graphics, music, and sound are all very well designed (or selected) and make the game pretty immersive. As noted above, the balance feels a little off and there were times when the wolves just wouldn't stop their headlong charge into the sheep even though the dog was extremely close by.

Overall, very fun game!

I'm really bad at this game but it's amazing. I love the idea of queuing up commands that take a moment to reach the dog. The graphics are wonderful and the music is on point. Awesome entry!

Neat! I didn't end up being able to make it past the second level, but I enjoyed it (XD)! Very hard game, I would say, if I had a suggestion it would be to improve the wolf's AI, as right now it's *very* hard to drive them away! I reaaally liked the art for this game; it looks fantastic! :D

I liked this game. The first level was a little hard and I think that the wolves ran away quicker the faster the dog was? That could have been explained if that is true. The art and music were well done and the concept was unique.

Really creative gameplay! I love that it's "sound" based and also the stepping dood. The sheep rolling around is probably the cutest thing I've seen all day! The songs were good, although I think the first one is my favorite. The third one was a bit louder than the other ones. Occasionally, I feel like the dog would be running and barking right next to a wolf but the wolf would just keep going. Overall, I really like this entry! I'd love to see more from you guys :relaxed:

Cool game! I really liked the graphics, and the mechanics were really cool with the delay and having to really try to calculate when to do what! :)
