The volcano woke up ! by Yamzho
THE VOLCANO WOKE UP !
You must try to save the surrounding forest before it disappears into flames !
How to play ?
- Each turn, you earn one coin per forest tile on the map (even if it is burning).
- Spend coins to fight the elements with your tools. At the end of a turn, you will loose all your unused coins.
- The game will end when, at the end of the turn, more than half of the forest is on fire.
There are few gameplay elements that are to discover by yourself when playing.

POST-COMPO (not to be rated)
- Balanced difficulty.
- Added arrows to show where the fire will spread next turn.

Nice work!

Great submission though! Thanks!
I love the style and even more the menu (My favorite is the chainsaw).
Well done !
At first I thought this was about florest devastation, which would also make sense. I see lots of narrative potential in this game in a future version of this.
Thanks for that, that was a fun game!
Cool idea for a mechanic and well executed. Simple/intuitive to pick up but deep to play. Can see myself playing another few rounds trying to beat my score.
The theme/symbols you've chosen perfectly describe the mechanics. For example it's intuitive that fire will spread to neighboring forest tiles, but not clear ground. It doesn't have to be explained, one can just pick it up and play. The interplay between the 3 tools is great and I think the cost balancing is spot on. Do you play a lot of board games by any chance? :)
All in all the mechanic feels super polished, like there's been a decent amount of thought/iteration put in.
Great entry, would be proud to have made something like this.
EDIT: I see you've added an arrow showing where the fire will spread to your post-compo version. My 2c: I think the fire spreading to a random neighbouring tile is better. It adds a push-your-luck element, sometimes you might want to take a chance and rather spend your coins elsewhere
