Hi, it's my first game jam ever, so of course I tried compo You have been given a cute 8-bit dog, but he is a bit absent minded so don't let him harm himself ! Press space to jump during the walk minigame

It was difficult, I don't know how to draw or make music so the game is minimalist (especially on sound) Hope you like it though, thanks for the feedbacks

Functions well, didn't realise that walking the dog was a little minigame until very late. Also the ending wasn't completely clear to me, did my dog just die?

Well done, i like that we have to choose what actions we can do in one day. I did not understand how to avoid the nife and how to clean poos. I liked to feed the dog, because of the animation with the hearts. I did not understand why we can take the dog outside some days and not everyday. Well done

@teun-de-vries yes the dog is supposed to be harmed during the game (eg he loses his tail) and the end is supposed to have a sad music (which I removed for compo-fairness)

@anonymouspanda you can walk him once a day, sorry for the lack of tutorial on this ^^'

The dog is very cute! I also like the simple graphics, they give off that tamagotchi vibe :smile:

It is a bit confusing due lack of instructions but I love old-style games. Nice work, keep going!

THAT DOGGO IS SO CUTE BUT HAS A DEATH WISH! Lol, why does it want that!? DX This was my first jam too, it was so intense! I love what you did here. I was intent to keep my puppers alive as long as possible. I was all, "No!!! WHY DID YOU RUN STRAIGHT INTO THAT!?"
