Nostromo by johnhackworth
=================== NOSTROMO ======================
You wake up alone in a strange spaceship. It's full
of pink things which scream a lot when they see you.
You don't know what's happening, but that's not so
surprising, having in account that you were inside
an egg just hours ago.
You don't understand anything, but you feel those
pink creatures look like breakfast...
====================================================
Use cursors to move around. Space or Enter to attack.
Left CTRL to hide in the shadows.

The idea is that if you are being fired at, your best course of action is to flee. Unless you're trapped in a dead end, you should be able to use your speed & hiding skill for it. And then, position yourself to get that guy from behind while he's moving around (they can't see behind themselves when moving)
I liked how you could sense humans in nearby rooms, but I couldn't see how stealth helped. Sometimes the rooms were red, but I couldn't tell if that was the alarm or just the lighting of those rooms.
I died a few times before finally surviving until the end. Good work!
When one of the guys with the guns see you, there's a chance that he triggers an alarm. That's when the lights turn to red. When the alarm is activated, all the other soldiers will rush to the point where you have been seen last, so it's a good idea to leave as far as possible.
The hiding mechanism is handy when you are being cornered. When you are hiding, the humans can only see you if they are next to you (like... 30 or 40 pixels away, I think), but they don't if they are in adjacent rooms (or in the same room, but far away), so if you find yourself getting chased by three soldiers ... hiding in the corner of a room and wait for them to leave is a good way to manage the situation. Also, since the moving humans can only see in front of them, hiding behind a ladder and wait for a soldier to go down and turns his back to you is a good way to be able to get hand-to-hand with them without getting shot first :D
1. The movement of the camera in different stages.
2. The twinkling of the stars.
3. Graphics.
4. The intuitive gameplay.
5. Lighting of different rooms as I went near it.
and many such small things.
The thing I would have loved to see here is an option to restart the game after you die
But overall, it is a solid entry, so much polishness for a compo entry, very well done.
