Had a weird issue where it wouldn't let me enter my username for awhile, but backing out to the itch.io page and returning seemed to fix it. Took me a minute to figure out exactly how not to kill the users and we lost a few good people along the way but it's a very cool concept! Great job!

Cool concept and the mood! But I think it can speed up the textspped that reduce the time of waiting

Really fun idea for a game. Definitely unique and overall I enjoyed how intuitive the game plays. I think it's only hurt by it's length of course; more scenarios would make for more playthroughs, and more commands to enter would add to the hectic-ness of seeing the mouse cursor move to an undesired button. I found myself preemptively writing in DELETE before the next screen/area appeared which made it a lot easier, but I'm sure with more commands that would get rid of that facet. I think it's definitely a good entry as my only gripe was that I wanted more! Awesome job :)

Overall I really enjoyed it!

The atmosphere the game creates both while helping a user and outside of that environment is amazing! The terminal look of the typing was really effective, the sound worked very well and the gameplay mechanic of reversing the choice-selection to be about choice-removing was really innovative. I had a lot of fun finding out where the different paths led to and it felt great having my first successful player! Overall, I really enjoyed playing!

I love the atmosphere, idea, and font so much. I really loved trying to force the user (who appears to be an idiot) into uncharted territory. Cool idea, I'd definitely play a larger version of this game.

It's short, but it's a really fun idea. It's like a "meta-text adventure". Hard to believe it's based on Twine, that's pretty impressive.

Great mood and atmosphere, I love this retro interface!
But for a start is bit hard to read and understand text. First few minutes I didn't understand what's going on and what should I do. Maybe you could make first few encounters slower and increase speed while playing.
I'm sure that there is some easter eggs and secret commands, but didn't find any =(
Anyway I enjoyed the game!

Its a very interesting idea to kind of indirectly play a game. I think timing could be a bit improved, there are times were the text seem to to fast for me and times where I have to wait for the text to be completely displayed. But nevertheless a solid entry.

Though I'm not sure I missed some part of the game, tried the commands help and exit and also tried to hit ctrl+c.

I like the oppressive productivity manager interface. To see what it would say, I spent the first bit entering my own user# and trying to delete all the options/run out of money. Turns out you don't need any help losing money :)
I had fun. It took me a little while to get the hang out it (I'm a terribly slow typist, so deleting two options at once while reading was challenging for me given the speed of the cursor). I ended up resetting to explore more because my long user backlog made getting back into a round a bit slow and frustrating.

Once it clicked, it seemed a interesting twist on a text adventure. More pressure, but also some sense of interaction with the mystery player. Lots of opportunities to have interaction between you and the simulated player. I wish there was more!
And the visual design and theming were great and sold the micromanaging, rat-in-a-cage vibe.

@linnea-isaac I was really hoping someone would discover what happened when you entered your own user number :') I actually had a whole plotline planned about editing your own game, but didn't have time to implement it. I'm considering a post-dare expanded edition which would make it longer, add more commands, game types, & story, and would specifically play with that more :) Also, so glad you appreciated the nightmare gig economy writing, that's really what I went into this intending to focus on!

@jess-from-online It def made me want to go looking for ways to get around it/find secrets. I think just having more levels, commands, and meta story interactions would be great - feels like a first level. I'll be looking out for it ! :)

The aesthetic is great, and it's such a fun idea. Great for the theme too, I love that you can't actually make a net positive amount of money no matter what you do. I will say though that as a slow typer with somewhat limited dexterity, having to accurately type a command on a pretty short timer as the core gameplay mechanic was kind of difficult for me even when I knew what choice I wanted to make

I had some trouble keeping up with the text and then deciding what to do. Other than that the game feels interesting and has a unique concept. When booting up, I was waiting for a boot sounds, not the basic selection beep.
