In this game based on a true story, ride, carve, jump you way down the mountain, but be careful when you reach the bottom !

Ride the Sauze is a procedural snowboarding game made with Unity, allowing you to experience a brand new mountain each time you play. But in the end, no matter how good your ride is, the snow will be gone.

You can play the game with a controller, but I recommend using your keyboard (arrow keys + space or Q/D + key up) since it is what the gameplay was tuned for. Enjoy your ride and thanks for playing my game !

Version 1.1 changelog : * Fix ground generation * Improve collisions

Snowboarding is not my sport  I got 20 only! Good one actually. It's playing like cool retro game.

This is a really fun game. Developing procedurally generated terrain is so cool.

I am a fan of the SSX game series; Andy Hunter's Go soundtrack will forever be linked to the visuals of any snowboarding game I play. In the absence of a soundtrack in this game, I had Go on another tab. Perfect fit :-)

I really like the old graphics style. It works really well. It sorta feels like if SkiFree were updated to use 3d graphics. I wish the controls were less stiff, and I felt like the hitboxes on the brown spots were too big. But other than that, this was a lot of fun to play.

Really liked the art style and the game was fun to play. It's missing some music or sound effects but good job overall!

"Based on a true story" I hope to god whatever poor soul this is based on didn't get hurt too badly, haha...then again, I guess the rider in the game never actually wipes out, so maybe it's not so bad after all.

I really enjoyed the graphic style you used and the game was pretty fun to play once I got used to it. I think the controls could stand to feel a little more responsive, i like that moving horizontally takes a bit of a wind up but I couldn't get used to having the jump mapped to releasing space rather than pressing it and I feel like it could have had more of an effect, it definitely wasn't high enough to overcome most obstacles and it only felt worth using when coming up on a steep part (maybe that was intentional), but all in all this was a fun little game

Wooo I love me a good snowboarding game!! I think one of my favorite features of Zelda Breath of the Wild was shield riding down a snowy mountain, so your game takes that best part which I love! Very impressive for just 48 hours! My only suggestion for next time is adding some music and audio, there are a lot of tools that make creating simple music easy even for a compo game. Nice work!

Nice game! I really liked the art style of this. I felt a little surprised sometimes when a brown spot triggered a hit, maybe the hit box is bigger than I expected? Great work on this!

Great idea for the theme. I really like the visual style. The collision seemed a little bit off sometimes but maybe I'm just bad at the game

All in all pretty good for a compo entry. Keep it up!

I really liked the art style and the generated level was cool. I enjoyed being able to make big jumps, those felt great. Some collisions with the brown ground felt strange. I missed some music and audio, the game felt a bit empty without them especially with the cool graphics and the speed.

Nice and simple. I like it. I got 44 seconds. The mix of pixel art and 3D is quite nice! I wish there was some fitting music. Anyway, great job with the game.

I love the graphics, and had loads of fun playing. After about 50 the game becomes impossible, which I guess is the point given the theme. I feel the game would have benefitted from some audio. It still kept me engage enough though to have quite a few goes at getting to the bottom of the mountain.

Good stuff :8ball:

Love the graphics in this! And a compo as well? :eyes: VERY NICE! I caught some serious air on a few of the hills which was really fun imo! My highscore was 69 (also nice)

Very nice game! I love how it fits in the theme, even more so given that skiing season is ending in the north hemisphere. The controls feel a bit rough, but otherwise, it has a great mood and great nice cohesive visuals, giving it quite a unique personality. I really enjoyed this, congratulations!

The game was very good , but the problem is the player is hard to control , also , there is no button for playing again (maybe it's just the html version) , anyways good work !
