Devil of Destiny by Fatsheep
Devil of Destiny
The Devil has broken free from his chains and has been ravaging the universe in search of the 6 Crystals of Eternity. He now has all but one crystal, which you happen to possess. With no means of using it however, you must do all you can to buy the rest of the world time to prepare before all Hell breaks loose. The Devil is rapidly gaining power, there is no winning this fight. You're only delaying the inevitable.
Gameplay
Devil of Destiny is a boss fight game where your only objective is to survive for as long as possible. The Devil cannot be killed, and his attacks grow stronger and faster. Shooting him will stall his power gain, giving you an extra edge in order to survive for longer. Feel free to post your best time in the comments!

Developers notes
I kinda bit off more than i could chew with this one. The fight feels a bit barebones, if i had more time i would've added more attacks. Might actually make a post jam version this time. I also apologize to everyone who doesn't get the movie reference that inspired this whole idea.

Here's my highscore ^^

I could get to almost six minutes, but with some more in the game I could try to last for infinity! Good job!

Thank goodness he killed me before getting 10 stronger, that would have been scary!
The detail that went into the art and animations are great! And the character movement is better than some triple-a games I've played, kudos! If I had one suggestion, it would be to texture the arena, even if it's a really simple quick and dirty repeating pattern - I got disoriented a few times since I couldn't tell if I was moving on the flat brown ground. I like how the crosshairs is literally a cross, that's a nice detail. Good stuff!
Moving around actually feels pretty sick, but I felt like I didn't really have a frame of reference for where I was going because the ground was completely untextured and sometimes the boss would teleport.
Still, there's some good gamefeel, and it kind of drove in the inevitability when I for a second actually thought "wait, where's his healthbar?" and remembered what the theme was.
In addition to the obvious Marvel reference, was that also a Battle for Bikini Bottom inspired shoulder slam attack? Nice touch. Honestly, all of the animation that went into this game goes a long way toward making up for the limited gameplay. Nice job.
