Enjoyed the game quite a bit, really like how you mainly focused on the gameplay side of things however I don't really like these shooting sounds.

Hi!
Nice game, got me hooked for a long time, nice roguelike mechanic!
Thanks

This was a very fun game. I think you got overpowered a bit too quickly, but that was countered by the waves getting harder. I really enjoyed playing, and my only nitpick is the sound effects. They're not bad sfx, but I think they're slightly too loud, and are too repetitive (you could randomly change the pitch each time to make it sound better). Other than that this was a very enjoyable experience. Good job!

Nicely balanced, challenging waves and impressive weapons customization system. I really enjoyed it!

Very cool Noita like gun building mechanic. I liked that I could shoot the gun as I was messing with. I bet if you another week or so you could add some cool new components, new enemies, and smooth out the building process. Sound design and graphics could have been a little cleaner, or maybe lean into a pixel art style. This felt like you were somewhere between pixel art and smooth graphics. That being said, I had a great time playing this game and you should be super proud of the game you made. Cheers :)

Cool entry !
I especially like customization is fun to become overpowered but I think it's appending to fast.

I don't know if I had a bug but after the wave 8 or later (did not remember) I had no more enemies spawning and it did not start a new wave

Pretty fun. There are some pretty OP combinations though that made it easy. I had a hard time reading the text.

Amazing concept! Choosing upgrades makes you think and you want to test multiple choices. Nicely addictive. Well done!

I loved the gun customization feature! I can definitely see this kind of mechanic being improved upon, as seen in some really interesting games such as Noita and Nova Drift.

One thing that may have made the game impossible for me at later waves is the indestructible "husk" the enemies leave behind. However, that might have been an oversight of mine not to try and accumulate +explosion or something.

I had a lot of fun playing this one overall, good job!
Oh, and the fact that you can physically see the attachments on your gun is a super nice touch.

Thanks for the great feedback!

Yeah absolutely right the sound is grating. I get sound mixing wrong every time

@aarimous
Thanks! I think you are spot on, i originally wanted to go for pixel art but then halfway though i realized it was easier to stick to a smooth style, but never went back to change the pixel-assets. Programmer artist coming through!

The balancing was way harder than i thought it would be. Some of you felt it was good, some of you got luckier and were OP right away. In the original idea you were supposed to buy upgrades, or at least be limited to only one pr. round. Neither was obviously implemented in time.

I'm really glad you enjoyed it!

Thanks for playing everyone!

It was very fun to play around with the weapon custimization, but the game could use some more balancing. I'd love to check out a post-compo version if you make one :)

This is was a fun game to play. Like others, I liked the customization. Some background music would have been nice to counteract the sound effects. Good effort!

Great game. Found some of the gun component features hard to read. Being able to swap 2 parts directly was annoying. But overall a very fun game. I loaded up with all multiple barrels and that many projectiles broke the game, but looked great while it ran.

Fun game, liked the weapon customization
Sound hurt the ears when using splitter components though
Also in terms of splitter components: feels like the game was not balanced with them in mind. Blue/grey splitters quickly broke the game, with 4 or 5 of them reducing framerate to a crawl. Red splitters were way too strong, I grabbed one first round one playthrough, and never took any damage. Eventually enemies just stopped spawning. The deviancy stat of the splitters is also problematic; if you have 2 or more splitters you no longer need to aim, you just center the mouse on the screen and hold down the mouse button, and the cannonballs will hit everything.
Side note, was very confused as to what the blue components actually do, as they say -damage and +damage. Also not sure what the "power" stat did.

Great idea that fits well with the theme. A bit unbalanced as you're screwed over if you get too many red enemies. The game froze for a couple of seconds every now and then which made it hard to enjoy.

I loved the game and the polishing, it's so satifying to see the units exploding with a big ball of Programmer art fire!!! It gets a little repetitive after some time but i thing it`s GREAT for a compo game!
