Loop Line by sourcehorse

made by sourcehorse for Ludum Dare 50 (JAM)

You awaken in a train station, unsure of how you got here. Something feels... Not quite right. Things around you begin to become strange, wrong, corrupted. You reach out and touch the corruption. The object returns to its original form.

Hold on to reality as long as you can!

Managed to survive 223 seconds, cool concept and pretty fun game, was unclear on what to do initially, but became clear once I found my first giant spider. Good work :)

321.something seconds! Reminds me of the 'Amnesia: Dark Descent' loss of sanity effect. Great for feeding OCD

I really like this train station you constructed, its a very nice little diorama. The game itself is surprisingly entrancing too. I both really like and also got kinda thrown off by how many varieties of corruption there are. The surprise of something new is cool, but it kinda also makes things difficult to figure out. The discarded water bottles and milk cartons are also a weird red herring. The trash storm mechanic is funny, but I think it detracts from the quiet horror of turning around to see an area that had once been clean slowly overcome again.

Pretty original idea, the sound effects made for a good atmosphere. Nice job c:

I was able to survive for ~600s in one run. Interesting idea as far as the theme goes. I couldn't quite figure out if there was any particular strategy I should follow beyond "clean up whatever happens to be close by".

As a heads up for any one who doesn't care for spiders, there are lots of them in this game.

Liked the sound and ambience :> the dimming effect as time went on definitely was a nice touch - super eerie.

The 3D scene and the intended mood was great, but the gameplay feeled a little pointless. A little more narrative (for example, maybe some voices that would tell strange things?) may help to improve the game.

I survived 393 second and bro why?! For me with Arachnophobia it was so spooky xD. And seriously really cool idea but give warning next time because spider model was really realistic and scary.

Froze my machine trying to load when I pressed Enter on the title screen, lol. Shame because it looks like a creative idea and folks in the comments seem to be having fun!

Huh, maybe Godot doesn't like being in a VM? I can only suggest trying the web version at this point.

Nice game. I think the "anomaly spotting" game type could be something quite unique and has a lot of potential. You sparked some great ideas :) Thanks for making this
