It's the last day on earth and the sun is going to explode in 1 minute.

But by being happy, time passes slower.

So you are happy AND have more time. A win win situation.

You delay the inevitable by being happy.

A very cool concept! I loved the visual aesthetic of your game and the small things to do. I tried to jump up on the right side of the level by stacking llamas (or horses?) on top of each other but I failed miserably. A fun little sandbox game :). Good job!

I love the feel of this game! It's got such a heartwarming energy in such a melancholy moment, and I adored all of the little moments that make this game up, from walking along the musical steps to riding around on animals enjoying bouncing and playing soccer just for the sake of it! The art style and palette chosen for this work perfectly around that idea, and I absolutely love all the polish even in the things like the expanding colours of the menu! I played it multiple times just so I could enjoy all of the vibes. It's a really clean, enjoyable experience! ◊

@jkyd What version did you try to play? Web, Windows, Mac or Linux?
I could only test the web and Mac version, because I don't have Linux or Windows

@jkyd oh okay. I've never got this error. If you still want to play it, maybe try another browser or the download version

The aesthetics of this game are amazing, I'll definitely save the color palette for later. I don't even mind the lack of animations. The feeling of freedom is really good. The timer is a bit floating about, not sure if that's a choice or a bug. Nice job!

A very fun an chill experience. The idea behind the game is super interesting and I wish that there was a little more to do. Like finding little hidden things, even if they are just visual and not interactable. Definetly a lot of potential here!

When the theme of the game jam was revealed I was pretty sure that a vast majority of the entry would be pessimistic or fatalist. So I made something heartwarming to go against the flow.
But I was surprise and glad to see that a lot of games took a sweet or humorous tone.
I love the bittersweet taste of what you made, waiting for the end while having fun is... I don't know how to describe that but I'm glad I tried your game :)

But wait... Doesn't the time go faster when you are having fun D: ?! Did you lie to me ? Did I precipitate my death by playing with this ball ?!?

Nice entry ;)

What a lovely experience! Among many survival entries, it's good to see a game about seizing the moment. There's even a musical toy, yay!

I really like how the score system is hidden from the player. It encourages a way to play based on experimentation and emotions, providing a game design focused on the action. It's a really cool approach! Also kudos for the gorgeous art. I had a fantastic time exploring with my lama friend and learning how to launch myself into the clouds.

@bauke-regnerus The "floating" timer is a choice (You mean the bar at the bottom while playing the game right?).
The height of it says how fast the time is. A thin bar is a slow time and a bigger bar is fast time

I loved it!! It was super visually pleasing and at some point I kinda just rode around on a llama without trying to beat my last score LOL, fun game!

I love the mood of your game ! Really chill and nice choice of colors ! I'm just a bit confused on how to get past of the giant wall on the right, I tried using the lamas and got a bit further but then i got stuck :(

Such a pretty game and a nice idea. I'm happy you made the video too explaining. I never would have thought to use the theme in this way at all. Great work!

Although I didn't know how to keep my happiness level up or what purpose the Llamas served, it was fun! Gameplay was fairly minimal albeit confusing as to what I needed to do to stay alive, but the graphics and audio were nice and soothing, and everything fit the theme very well. Would love to see more of this!

You chose the right color palet.

Chilling on the last sunset is relaxing. The best feature, the auto jump

I saw some updates on the discord and I have to say I was a bit sceptical at first how the mechanic would be actually fun to play, but you have absolutely proven me wrong! This is so well executed! The cute art, the vibe that the colors and music gave, just goofing around with the ball and the lamas made me so relaxed, so a great job on your entry!

Probably one of the cutest games I've played yet! Although I felt it could have been a bit more innovative with how the happiness mechanic is implemented, the mood of the game more than makes up for it :D You guys did a perfect job with the art style and audio. There was even something resembling a puzzle at either ends of the map. Good job!

@arihan10 actually I've made the game alone. But thank you :)

I recorded myself playing, message me on the Jam’s discord @ Dark Peace and I’ll send it to you. Reading the comments, I'm not sure I truly got what the game wanted me to do but I tried to go right and at a certain point, there was like, a collision problem with one of the animals so the others couldn't mount on them. So I wasn't able to go pass the mountain, I don't thinkg I got pretty far into the game.

I just had the revealation you could go left. Playing with the ball was fun for a while but it gets old pretty quickly. Even if I understand that it's by appreciating the present moment that the character gets to spend more time alive.

The simple colour palette worked really well, and the music was relaxing and not obtrusive.

I didn't know what counted as having fun in game, but stacking the llamas amused me.

This is a really neat concept for a game! I liked the exploration element, and the art+music were just beautiful. One suggestion if you were to keep building on this game, it'd be nice to see how many 'fun points' each activity gives you. It seemed like the ball bouncing one extended my time a bit, but I couldn't tell if soccer did.
Congrats on completing an awesome entry, nice job!

Beautiful colors! You have so many cool game mechanics going on in here. I love the whole concept, and really took to exploring the world and having fun. I was stacking llamas, scoring goals, and jump glitching up the right side- or trying to. I almost got up to the top. Almost. I think its possible. Anyway- thanks for the cool little game!

Pretty fun little game. It had a really chill mode to it and I loved the overall idea. The physics need some work haha but it made me laugh to see the ball, or myself, get launched up out of nowhere at times. Nice work!

I never played soccer while riding a lama. Wow, that was cool. I think you should expand the game, add more fun mechanics. That game really deserves it!

Had a very similar idea! In my notes I have something "Why do we delay the inevitable (going back home)? Because we are having fun and we don't want to stop" I thought of kids having fun in the street or something similar. Nice to see where you took it!

Very beautiful game overall. The physics was still a jank especially when stacking lamas, although I suppose real animals would like to move around instead of standing a tower... Another thing is the audio doesn't have a minimum interval so sometimes it just keeps restarting per frame. But those are just nit picks.

Very calm and nice game! I really liked to stack lamas on the right side of the world. And it seems to me that it's possible to go higher and I could find something interesting there! Well done!

Vibes of this game are very pleasing. Pretty interesting approach to the theme, making the whole thing amazingly atmospheric. Congrats on your first game jam!

By the way, this rectangle man sure does enjoy riding on lammas:

Beautiful game, nice color palette ! I don't know why but the set up and the story were really depressing for me though, just try to enjoy life before you die, without goals or anything  great entry, good work !

A peaceful and relaxing atmosphere that feels good after many games which involve fights and deaths! Thank you for this short experience =)
