Fated Fantasy by algodoogle
Fated Fantasy is an action twin-stick game! This is our second Ludum Dare with a new, additional team member.

You play as a wizard fighting for his life against waves of enemies using your magic. As you play, a clock will be ticking down.

When it hits zero, you lose the game. The question isn't how far you can get but more how long you can delay the inevitable. Vanquishing your foes will drop time that you can pick up and add on to your timer. The more enemies you vanquish. the more time you can play.

We hope you enjoy this game!

Well done!
And the mood reminded me lot of Earthbound's Threed town
I think you should continue to develop this game, good job!
I like that one bullet can hit multiple enemies, really helpful!
Nice work overall
The shop needs more of an introduction, or some way to let players know it is there. i found it by accident.
Putting something behind the text in the corner will help readability.
The time as the health/currency/pressure mechanic was cool.
I really like the wall of eyeballs, that was a cool mechanic to get the player moving.
I got destroyed by the vampire boss in no time.
Initially, it looked fairly basic, and I didn't think it was going to go anywhere, but I stuck with it and, once I realised that the shop used the time remaining as your currency, I was pretty much immediately hooked.
I was doing fairly well until I suddenly got insta-mobbed by a bunch of red guys during the giant eyeball fight who took 30mins off me pretty much instantly and killed me. Felt pretty unfair, but maybe there was something in the upgrades menu that I'd missed.
Really impressive how fun and addicting this ended up being. I'd have really liked to have seen more dynamic sprites (four directions at least, preferably eight, rather than two) even without animation, but honestly, the fun factor ended up more than making up for that little gripe. :stuck_out_tongue:
Really well done--glad I played this!
