This was quite fun to play! I really enjoyed out pacing the various monsters. This could be a great mobile game!
Nicely Done!
Good job!!
(The ending is amazing :D)
I did feel like you had to get the pick axe upgrade before going to another layer, it was really impossible if you didnt.
Liked the mechanic of the speedboost at the start, it felt good to get back into it fast and that kept me playing longer.
very simple controls and nice graphics, good job overall! <3
The mechanics were also pretty solid though I wasn't a big fan of the bomb, I feel like something that I could lob behind me would have been more appreciated, if this were to turn into something bigger.
It didn't quite feel inevitable to me, though, if I'm being perfectly honest, but that's really my only gripe.
If this had some audio thrown in on it I'd have way too much fun zoning out to some digs.
The UI was super clean and the strategy to determine what direction to go based on the limited view of the enemies was fantastic. Having the false freedom of only being able to go horizontal or down was a great design. The aesthetic was really well curated. I only made it through to the second layer so I didn't see how deep it could get.
Sounds would have been really next level, even throwing in really simple ones on hits. Also, I would have appreciated a bigger viewport and/or fullscreen option (unless I am dumb and didn't see it) as my 2K resolution didn't show me a lot.
Great work on this. I am glad you submitted.
Great idea!
The game starts abruptly, but once I figured out whats going on, I had a lot of fun!
One thing I noticed is that the Dig Dig Joy powerup is much more useful than the other ones.
You art is also really charming, I'm a big sucker for minimalist pixel art
Overall, well done!
The different zones and enemy models really gives the game another layer of depth (heh)
The fast pace and limited sight, especially in the beginning made it feel like survival was based mostly on luck.
I think continuing development is a great idea, and i had fun playing this!
But do you really need this default down movement. Sometimes I would prefer to have a choice to stop and think for a moment.
1. Great digging animations
2. I like the simple controls and the "pickaxe spark" to let me know which way I'm digging
3. Really simple but intuitive controls
4. Good variety of different upgrade types
4. Digging deeper to get increasingly larger experience cubes felt good. I like how the dirt textures change to give a sense of progression and depth
Some simple sounds really would be nice here. Also, it would be nice if it were clearer that bombs don't do damage to the player.
Was really fun dodging the small enemies, solid entry!
Congratulations for the excellent work.
**THINGS I LIKED:**
- The graphics. I loved especially the cute pixelated playable character. The particles were nice too!
- The simplicity. Easy to figure out.
- The different upgrades.
- The way enemies worked.
- Leaderboards.
Thank you for the submission!
Does the pick get stronger as you level even if you don't have a choice of upgrading it?
I was able to get to the green XP areas fairly easy, but kept having a beetle thing drop on me.
Good work, this is a fun game.
I'm not sure it fits with the theme that well, but that's probably my only critique, great job! Also, I always dig any game about digging!

I can't say that I've ever played an auto-digger before, and I dig it. Interesting idea, plays nicely.
I'm not sure I loved competitive play being for speed, which ends up feeling kind of luck-based on early upgrades, vs. score-based, although score-based would have its own issues with incentives.
