Hey! I enjoyed playing the game. I liked the mechanics but there is a lack of feedback on the rockets and other. Trust me a simple effect can do so much! Also try to delay a bit the black hole when you spawn, I got instant killed two times when I restarted. The concept is cool, great creative work.

Nice game, music fits well, visuals are pleasant. Took a little to understand what does what, but eventually figured it out.

Nice game, got a bit confused with the controls for a little while, but was eventually able to get it. The longest I was able to survive was 1:20! :D

Good work! A simple concept but well made! I really liked as the game got more intense! Really fitting to the theme! Thank you for making this!

Nice little game. We also made a space shooter-like game, so I am into these kind of games. The concept is great, but I think it could use some polish (of course every Jam game needs it) because I didn't feel like hitting asteroids meant that much that I need to slow down and avoid them. The shield mechanic is cool, but I didn't notice too much change when it was depleted. The end screen is bugged for me, but I can't navigate through it. Otherwise great game!

Very good space shooter. Add a few enemies and you're good to go. I had fun playing this, the controls are fluid. Great job!

Pretty damn good,
Great sound effects,
Love the 2.5D style,
Sometimes the asteroids corner me and i cant go anywhere,
the drops sometimes are non existent or abundant ,
Would be nice if at the start you get atleast 1 missile ,

But... how did the black box escape...? :stuck_out_tongue: Sorry, couldn't resist.

I'm a bit more used to space shooters where you have infinite ammo and the asteroids have more than one hit point, so that threw me a bit at first, but that doesn't make it a bad decision.

It all played well, and I enjoyed the soundtrack. The models looked a little bit... flat? But at the same time, it was all self-consistent, so it didn't draw me out of the game at all.

Overall, good job--well done!

Yooo! We did the same type of game lol

Okay, I really like the UI and the fluidity of the controls. The movement is smooth. The sounds are not overbearing and the music is really nice as well.

For some criticisms, I think what would make this game really pop out more is to add effects. The effects I'm talking about aren't really there to make the game pretty but rather to serve as indicators and feedback mechanics. Some simple explosion effects for getting hit by hazards. Some glow/glitter for pickups. Simple camera shake when hitting obstacles as well would make a huge difference and really add that game feel. I know it's a jam game, but just simple effects do have huge impact specially on the readability of the gameplay situation. It also complements with the audio bringing the experience much more enjoyable.

Other than that, we both did a space game with some usage of gravity and asteroids, so big plus for me lol. Thank you for submitting. Great work!

It took a bit for me to figure out what was going on, but once I got a grasp on it, it was pretty fun. I did notice that the star field kind of goes away if you go too far to the left (and probably right, too). I would have liked more feedback on getting hit, picking things up, etc, especially when at times I would just completely stop and get killed (which I assume happens due to running out of fuel? but that wasn't obvious).

@doomshmuck Thanks for playing and the feedback! There is an alarm for when your fuel is running low both visually and audible. What else would have made it clearer for you?

Nice game, the hitboxes seemed a bit big though. I was often hitting things I was not that close to.
Also 'travelled 3216 lightseconds within 02:11:89 lightseconds'? something doesn't seem quite right there.

Hm, lots of lightseconds here :)
A very beautiful game! Everything was running very smoothly. I wasn't sure if there's a goal besides just delaying the inevitable approach of the black hole. Either way, good job!
