Dave's Diet by ASize7Shoe
Dave is beach body ready for his holiday, however he's been briefly left unsupervised in his home. Become Dave's junk food and avoid consumption.
Use W A S D to move and your mouse to look around.
Use the 1, 2 and 3 keys to switch between controlling the the burger, soda and donut.

Use the minimap to monitor the location of Dave and the other junk food.

Delay the inevitable and survive with at least one piece of junk food remaining when the time expires to save Dave's Diet!

(Also maybe avoid the giant hole where the front door is supposed to be so that you don't fall out of the level (thanks to quasar098 and RonanRory for pointing this out)).

I absolutely loved your game all around. The art is really nice, the title screen is great and made me laugh. Super clever concept regarding the theme and all around interesting idea to play as the food itself. The music was also peaceful and fits the vibe.
The one critique that I have about this game is that the movement with the food feels a bit fast and the panning is fast as well making it a little dizzy/hard to play. Overall super solid game my first 5/5 rating on everything. Great work :D

And as it turns out, I'm not good at avoiding Dave, that unhealthy prick. Eh, I guess I'm not really above him. Though I was able to completely leave the house and fall out of the world.
Very good work on your part!
1) The movement. I understand it was probably to add some spice to the game but the sheer slipperiness feels very unnatural. Maybe reduce the slipperiness at the cost of the movement speed to compensate?
2) I felt the connection to the theme was quite loose, seeing as it's very much possible to "win" the game and not delay anything at all.
That said, as I mentioned earlier, I had a lot of fun with it, so good job!
Hopefully as I improve at implementing character controllers I'll be able to spend more time on theme.
Glad you had fun.
I loved the design of the graphics, Dave is looking mighty fine if you ask me ;), but I have a little constructive criticism: the movement is a bit wacky, and the mouse sensitivity can not be changed (I saw that you noticed this, but i thought I would say it). The theme doesn't really fit, but it was overal a good little game.
First of all: Title Screen. Haha! Love me some sexy Minecraft beach boys ;D
seriously though, I like it when a bit of work is put into that, it's important and a bit of work and thought put into it gets you a long way!
The graphics are generally nice, amooth colours, although because the player is so small, the things could be a bit more highpoly or maybe have a texture applied (so like, just any sort of pattern, like seamless paper texture, (so a white/bright one) and then you can still change the colour in unity, that would give it a cool handmade look maybe :D
The idea I loved soooo much!!! Really amazing! had so much fun while playing this!
I just felt like the hitboxes miiiight need a bit work, as when I was running away I got stuck a lot and sadly often did not make it. But I managed to save the burger!! :D
I find it really interesting how Dave behaves :) How exactly did you program him? :)
All in all, a very successful jam entry! Congrats on finishing this jam on your own!
Great take on the theme! The gameplay is simple but fun :)
Overall a great entry :)
