I couldn't quite understand the candlestick mechanic though - when I place a second candle it doesn't seem to light until the first one goes out?
It's kinda unbalanced. I'd like to update this mechanic
Liked the graphics and sounds, also the mechanic was good, with making sure you explore and find enough resources to keep lighting fires, while fighting monsters. but i feel the game needed some other goal as well. maybe there was and i didnt find it :)
Anyway! very nice game! keep it up! <3
Like the graphics, fit the style, and good responsive movement.
I feel there is alot of room for more stuff, which i feel was the intention from the start.
This is good, and have many options for further building if one wants =)
Could use some more tweaking on the combat responsiveness, and maybe some type of timer for the candle burning out, other than that, great job =)
Only other thing I could think of is that maybe the area that the candles after the first one light was a little too small, any candle other than the first one didn't really help a lot.
Those things that I mentioned aren't actually horrible or anything, I did like the idea of the game, the graphics and the mechanics, so good work, thank you for the game (:
After the first loss and reload, that problem fixed itself and I got to play properly. I like the mechanic a lot! You've mentioned balancing more, and I think that's a good idea. Some kind of indication of my final score would have been nice, too!
The audio might have been supposed to sound like a flickering flame? It didn't really work well for me, but I like the idea.
