First things first - I love that Dark Souls reference!

Animation are sooooooooooo awesome. I can't belive you have done this in 72h :D also music really fits metroidvania vibe.

Coin SFX kinda hurts my ears, it should be a little lower on volume, but overall they are great too.

I just can't believe how beautiful this game is, my god.

Love the art and aesthetic of the game!

Controls are a bit weird and sfx were a bit loud.

I dont know if it was just my computer, but the build ran painfully slow - it was hard to do much of anything with the pace of the game. But the art's really impressive, and the narrative's cool! Fun dialogue and references as well.

This was the best adventure anyone could ask for
THE DRAMA
THE PAIN
THE TORTURE
It was all worth it
Great job to the team! Thank you so much for this amazing experience

I love the artwork, and the CGI duck at the end was pretty interesting. The story is fun, the upgrades are cool, and the music fits perfectly. Great game!

This is a super charmy game! Everything about it feels well made. The movement felt a bit slow though, and the enemies sometimes spawned in a bit too quickly off screen after being killed.

It's a lot of content for a jam game, which is impressive :)

All around cool, great job!

One of the best of the jam for sure! And criminally underrated!
Really shows what a team of 5 can get up to over 72 hours :)
Super charming and fun, but my music and all sound effects suddenly cut out permanently half way through - Mopi

I didn't actually play the game but it was very pleasant to look at from across the room, I love how the little duck bodies bounce. 5/5 sparks joy - MPGF (Mopi girlfriend)

@mopifish fun fact - most of the game was made in 1 day. For the first two days we basically only had a test level. 2 teammates didn't join until the last 1 1/2 days and we just went HARD lol

Awesome art and animations! Really enjoied the upgrade system and was a bit bummed out that i didn't get to use my endgame armour to defeat more bread :D. Oh and the music was awesome! Good job!

Very nicely done, the graphics and audio were all on point. I loved how all the ducks scattered around had something to say, that was a nice touch.

My only critique would be using Z as the jump/dash button instead of space felt a little awkward, but that may just be because I don't play many platformers.

Not gonna lie, I clicked z to start and sat there chilling to the music for a few minutes. The controls were very floaty but the amount of stuff in this game is impressive. After finishing the game I grew to accept the controls and I hope there's a sequel. Edit: The opening is a bop please add more.

It's a very cool game. I felt in love with graphics. All the audio suits the theme of the game. The game itself looks sooooo polished, but otherwise theme is poorly to read. In general it's a very nice project, thank you for the Duck Souls :))

Very fun game. Loved the exploration elements. It ended before I was ready for it to end! Thank you for sharing.

loved it :D the music is especially cute. I appreciate that you kept the level design compact so that I could get a feel for the mechanics and move on without anything getting repetitive. kinda wish I could dash straight up? but lobbing myself around at angles sorta fit the charm of the game.

Absolutely fantastic. Everything about this was so well polished, and I loved the bonfire lit thing - a bit of a soulsy reference I'm assuming from my limited knowledge of souls games.
Only real comment I have besides "WOW DUCK GAME GOOD" would be the following:
- At one point I was able to dash jump high enough to not light the bonfire, which was terrifying and I am glad I noticed it, because I did not want to mess something up and have to redo my platforming in the Dark Duck area lol.
- I think the music briefly glitched for me once when transitioning between catacombs & surface. I must have been crouching by mistake and rapidly switched between the hitboxes or something.
- At the beginning of the game I was very lost and frustrated because I didn't realize I needed to jump into the blacksmith's armor. I kept just trying to talk to him and go in houses. I didn't even recognize it as armor, I thought it was part of the blacksmith's workshop or something.
- Even more in the beginning, spent quite a long time waiting for the cutscene story to play. Should have either faded the text story into view after a moment, or after a moment indicate to the player to press 'z' again to see the next bit. Did enjoy that pressing Z in the beginning made it very intuitive as the jump since I was already primed to try to use it to interact with things.

But yeah all in all, I think this is my favorite game I've played in the jam so far! Cute and funny and very well polished.

Beautiful pixel art and very nice animations. The muscle duck had me dead when I first saw it. Music is very fun and enjoyable along with mild very well mixed in sound effects

+ Dark Souls bonfires give me the feels
+ Depth and exploration really helps extend the gameplay
+ Power ups are a great feature

- Maybe tone down the brightness of the flash when you hand things in and light the bonfires for light sensitive folk.

I will never look at ducks or toast the same again.

Very polished and fun little game! I never tried to walk to the right in the beginning so i was a bit confused when i instantly won the game walking to the right after having explored all of the town and gotten the armor lmao

Great game ! The graphics are simple yeat effective ! The animation were adorable, and the illustrations at the beginning were really badass
I'd say the duck controls are maybe a bit too heavy (this is due to the duck being slow i guess), but this is mostly nitpicking, since they still felt good nonetheless
The music was really cute also ! Congratulations for the game~
(also, can we talk about that delicious end game cutscene ?)

Great art and music! Loving the concept. I don't know what's wrong with my controls, but couldn't find any other actions than moving and jumping. And that didn't get me far. But it seems others got it working so great!
I feel the intro could start the text automatically and fill just like in-game.
