My immersion is ruined, 0/10. Jokes aside, while it's a little rough around the edges I had a good time with this game! The characters and their humour, the upbeat tune on the overworld, the boss fights, the main character's little waddle and throwing explosive wheels of flaming cheese make this a joy to play through in spite of its shortcomings. I think it would have been even greater with some sound effects, especially on those explosive cheese wheels, as well as a final boss projectile that's visibly distinct from the player's. Though I appreciate the chaos. Well done!

Weee, cool game, thanks for good time with it!
You've done a big game for a little time, and it is cool. I like gameplay but story for me was quite meaningless. So you have cool characters interesting world, but uhh general story...
Art is cool but the same particles sprites as mouses' particles - bad idea) So final fight was... you know) But it was really fun, I think.
Great job, guys)

I was very happy to get my cheese shot, but I was getting problems to go to the right side throw places so I ended up quitting it. The idea is great and I like the details, great work! Also the sound effects would have given the video game a big boost!

The game is overall pretty fun. Dialogues are well written, the level design is interesting, and in such a short time you've managed to build a really cool experience with a funny story and a great progression curve.
The graphics are great colorful and so full of ambiance, and the musics are bangers.
However, there are lots of tiny details which lessened my experience:
-The fact that there is no sound makes the music a little... repetitive.
-I sometimes skipped the dialogues without wanting too, and I realised that in most games skipping a dialogues take two pressed: the first to reach the end of the line immediatly, the second to go to the next, in your game one press is enough. And as you can't retalk to the npcs, it made me miss some dialogues (which is shame considering the quality of your writing)
-The boss fight was just confusing, there's just no way of knowing which shots are the enemy's when both of you has the "wheel of cheese" achievement (which is fun to get and to use)

Also, while I don't know if the ending was made on purpose or because of a like of time, but either way it's pretty funny and a nice trick to respect the theme last minute xD.

What a nice little game you've created right here. I love the atmosphere, the gameplay is enjoyable, and, well, it fits the theme, but my immersion is ruined not gonna lie lmfao. The only thing that's been bothering me is lack of audio settings - the music, even though it's great, can be really loud occasionally. Other than that, I had fun! Amazing you made it a pretty complete product in such short amount of time. Good job!

This was probably the largest game I've played so far this Ludum Dare. Really fun, interesting world. I liked a lot of the writing and the gameplay was pretty good. I did not like the final boss, however. Having him shoot the EXACT same projectiles as the player lead me to getting hit by stuff I couldn't even see. His animations were awesome though. Reminded me of fighting Satan in The Binding of Isaac.

This game looks like it has great potential! Love the graphics/aesthetics, humor, soundtrack (although the transition between rooms is rather abrupt, maybe fade instead), and joy of throwing flaming exploding cheese wheels. [Edit: found the rat. Just one note: budget is spelled wrong. Otherwise, cool boss-battle, but a little easy for me.] One piece of criticism I had was how easy it is to get lost. Maybe add a minimap? Awesome game you've got there!

The only thing I would change maybe would be the player's weapon. Since you started with a grape I would try to keep the upgrade something purpleish. It's a mess when You're fighting the boss and everything is fire, you can't tell what to dodge, haha.

I accidentally pressed ESC, and the game closed. But I got far. I got pretty caught up in your game, it's pretty cool to play. Congratulations on the submission.

Maaaaaan, I got softlocked. After getting the cheese and heading back past the guy who says I can't swim, I was just stuck in that level with 3 directions to go, and walking off the screen didn't change scene :(

Also YES to the art and everything, the style and humour are right up my alley, I did briefly try and defeat the rat without the powerup and seemed to get pretty far, but alas, I guess I'll never know if it's possible to defeat him or if my own defeat is just inevitable.

This is the best game I have ever seen in a game jam. So much content and such good mechanics. The only thing that bothered me is that it was hard to distinguish between your projectile and the rat's at the end, you essentially had to go by the direction they were going. Great game though, great characters, great dialogue, great art, great music, love it.

Ha, this game's just overflowing with charm! Well done. The boss fight gets pretty crazy with the attack patterns, which I like, but the fact that the things you're dodging are the same colour as you is a little disorienting. Still, the challenge was plenty fun. Best of luck!

That duck walk animation is great  I never thought I'll see a duck firing a block of fiery cheese!

I didn't expect phase three on the rat which was pretty cool. There's one thing though: the cheese's color is the same for the boss and you can't dodge it very well.

Well done!

Really cute twin-stick shooter with impressive content for a jam! Really enjoyed the progression and diversity between the boss phases. :D

Visually it's one of my favorites from this jam. There are some clunky elements that together make it a bit difficult to really enjoy, though: abrupt transitions, awkward sound implementation, no ability to turn off text scrolling, and esc just flat-out closing the game among others. It's a solid submission with a hefty amount of content, however! Nice work.
