A Simple Game of Clock Themed Pinball by LazyAlarm

[raw]
made by LazyAlarm for Ludum Dare 50 (JAM)

It’s in the name! I only had one day to make my game, so I made a nice little game of pinball inside a grandfather clock.

Bounce off gears to collect points and increase your time limit. But drop too often or wait too long and it's game over!

Really good for only a day, it felt like some of the collision boxes were slightly off and the table is a little sparse but overall it was fun

I really like pinball and I am glad to say that I also enjoyed your version of it. The design of the 'field' is really interesting and trying to get the ball to the higher level is an enjoyable challenge. Well done!

You really found a way to tie in the theme in multiple ways. Pinball already fit's the theme well, but you brought it in through the timer, which is literally a clock, that you need to hit in order to keep delaying the end. Very clever, and nice looking entry!

See if you can beat my record:

Ah! I really like a pinball game. Nice Idea! Moody sound effects :)

The ballphysics felt a bit odd sometimes, like the ball would slow down for no reason and sometimes the cogs make the ball go crazy. Also the right side of the table feels a bit empty.

Overall I really enjoyed your little game. Thank you :)

Love pinball, and this is a pretty good field. Physics felt a bit jumpy, but I like the look and feel of the game. Solid results for the time frame. Great job!

I couldn't get the game to run in the browser, unfortunately. Chrome (on macOS) started loading it but hanged for a while before giving a "webGL context lost" error, Safari started the game but the clock and everything inside it was black. (So didn't rate either, naturally.)

I like the overall clcok theme in this pinball game. It was fun to play!

The physics was (in the HTML version at least) sometimes a bit weird: the ball bounced very hard. I liked how heavy the ball seems because of the sound effects. The game seemed to be quite easy, so after a while I just sat back and watched for a while to see how long it would take to let the time run out and got to 7260 points.

Pinball is always a fun game. And pretty well done.

I liked the gears and stuff. The 'whackers' higher up were a cool thing I've not seen before but want in other pinballs now.

Wish there were some way to affect hit strength for hard whacks or soft whacks.

I think pinball games are cool but would have like more. the controls had a few frames of lag causing my timing of the bumpers not line right with the ball.

Nice visuals and use of a clock for pinball. Would have liked some more environmental interactions. Good submission though.
