It's a cute entry. The controls are making it difficult to play tho :)

The controls are a little difficult but fun once you get used to them, I really liked the way the game looked and how all the art fit together.

A very good entry. The game looks very nice and the darkness and sound make it very atmospheric. I did not get the sense that I was "delaying the inevitable", though.

The setting was great, beautiful work with the sound effects and lighting.

However, the controls were very difficult to use, the gravity was extremely high, and it became very difficult to use the stairs and the climbing walls.

I also don't understand why when I fall the checkpoint doesn't work, only when I die to the monsters.

Another question is regarding the theme, where exactly does it fit? Because I played a lot, but I didn't see any change in the scenario.

Congratulations!

@joni-jarvinen Thanks. I ran out of time but the idea was that you would die in the cave no matter what you did. enemies would keep coming and there is only so much health to be had. i would fix the bugs but i was using construct3 and it was only free for the weekend.

@very-bad-bunny-studio i wanted to tweak the movement once i got the other stuff done but ran out of time.

As for respawning, i put the respawn logic for falling and enemies in two different places by mistake and only realised once the submission deadline had passed. i know what i did wrong but cant fix it coz i was using construct3 and the full free version only lasted as long as the jam.

The idea was that you would die in the cave no matter what you did. enemies would keep coming and there is only so much health to be had. i also had no time to finish the continuous enemy spawning and wanted more variety in enemy types. time flies when you are having fun but i will plan better next time.

thanks for the feedback. i appreciate you taking the time.

I played this game and I loved:
- spelunking my way through spiders
- contemplating my existence after realizing all the cave is explored and I still have hearts
- having no single explanation about what the F button does
