ItGrows by Jim jagers

Welcome to ItGrows a short creepy game about collecting resources while running away from a HORRIFYING BEAST which grows every 10 seconds. Actually he doesnt look very creepy(in my opinion) but its a fun short little game give it a try i guarantee it wont be the worst game you have played on here(it will also not be the best but lets just ignore that part)

The big creature made me jump the first time it came in so fast and suddenly haha ^^ great little game!
The transport model is well done. Aesthetically similar to the games of the 80s.
Failed to collect all items. The creature always overtook me first. It's cool that the collected items affect the music.
Great job!
Here is the feedbacks.
Pros:
- The worm is really a good element of the game because of the fear he gives you.
- The mechanics are easy to understand.
- The vehicle controls are cool.
Cons:
- The Itch page is green text on green BG
- The sound is a bit too high and don't be scared to have a quiet volume if the player can adjust it.
- The collisions with walls are frustrating. The bounce idea has to be removed or modified.
Don't forget that even bad feedbacks are necessary (if it is constructive).
Keep doing jams and if you want us to review your future games here is my discord SAGIII#2881.
Not sure if it's just on my machine, but some of the pixel render a bit fuzzy.
Controls were simple but you could maybe have used some physics movement instead of the basic race car movement, or at least stop instead of bounce when colliding to walls.
The game was very unforgiving, when you saw the monster you already had to have some speed and at that point a minor collision would make you lose the game. That combined to minimal view distance made the game feel unfair.
Maybe a little zoomed out vision would have helped playability or if you wanted to keep the retro resolution, then some kind of minimap so you could predict at least the walls and maybe even the monster.
