Kill Team 10 - Badasses On Patrol by Human Writes Code

Bad news! Aliens have taken over the city.
Fear not, though, because a squad of badasses has arrived to save the day. It's just a pity that they decide to swap who does the shooting every 10 seconds.

Other things
The Windows build runs MUCH better than the web build.
I've tried the built in JDJam but it didn't work so you'll have to head to https://humanwritescode.itch.io/kill-team-10 (or download the Windows version, which runs MUCH better)

It looks very polished, nice UI and sprites and the concept is really interesting!
I had 2 minor bugs, once I could play an already dead char (the aliens refused to accept Vasquez carcass as an offering) and always after all chars were moved, it seems to select the last one played, regardless of who I clicked. (Maybe that's also how I could play dead Vasquez). These were small bugs though, never had a problem because of them.
It's a really cool concept, but I would have liked it to play faster! Because 10 seconds isn't that short and the badasses move quite slow on top.
It would take forever to clear the map like this, while there isn't really anything new happening. (Of course, it's a jam game)
I could see this work super well if it was a bit more like a tower defence with different levels. Instead of slowly going through the map, have a limited area where enemies will come at you constantly. They could also destroy some of the obstacles so you actually have to move - then it's all about positioning. I think this could be a game I'd pay for! :)
Anyways, for this short amount of time this is super solid. See the suggestions as absolutely positive, because I already liked it so much. Well done! :D
Right from the get-go I started hoping for a sprint button or characters to just move a bit faster. Sometimes it took me several rounds to get to the next place of action. Maybe this was also due to the fact that I did not really know where to go in the level.
I can always appreciate when people also make music and sound effects for their game. The music was cool and effects too. The gun effect started to get a bit jarring when multiple characters were "stuck" shooting, so I ended up wanting to turn them off.
But overall a solid game! Great work!
Just on note, characters are a bit to slow, it's not restrictive on a small map but since the one we're playing is really big, exploring it takes a lot of time
The switching between people is a unique tacke.
@urggann I'm surprised the arrow keys worked at all because I never set them up as inputs (must have been some default Godot settings). Thanks for playing!
Also loved the audio - found the sfx ramped up the tension massively when I left one of the characters shooting in what appeared to be an empty direction forward only for my next character to hear the shots hitting something off screen as I rushed to support! (I suppose that's a reason to not put the movement speed up too much to keep the tension! :D)
Maybe with a bit more time or if you decide to do any more on this some objectives around the city would be nice, but considering you did this all solo I think it's a great entry! Nice work!
Overall, well done!
