Creating The Monster by hrd_games

[raw]
made by hrd_games for LD33 (COMPO)
A different take on the Virtual Pet genre, akin to spinning plates. Make sure the meters don't empty. Dependent on the Food, Drink, etc. you feed the Heart, different monsters will appear.

There is a "True Ending" to find. Will you find the true monster?

Pretty Entry, did you record yourself sipping some water?

Blackcurrant squash. Was delicious.
I had fun recording the sound effects. My partner had less fun listening to me slurp a load of times.

Looks interesting. Takes a bit long to hatch monsters. I played for a couple of minutes but nothing seemed to happen.

The timer (30 seconds) is how long each monster takes. They then appear at the top of the screen. Originally (before submission) it was 60 seconds, but it felt too slow.

I played the standalone version, but there were no monsters when the timer runs out. Have I done something wrong? The timer just starts again and the clicking begins again.

Oh dear...There's a few issues with Resolution in the Standalone Version. I'll try to fix them ASAP. Thanks for letting me know.

Fixed the Standalone by restricting it to 800x600 Window.

A totally neat game, but I was frankly not very engaged with just pressing the buttons repeatedly. I really do dig the idea and graphics though.

Nice, unique idea that's cleanly executed. Wouldn't mind an increase in difficulty over time!
