@pinkemma Thanks for your review ! I wanted to display this better but you can see your "room number" at the top of the screen, the boss can be killed because it doesn't regen between your teleportation if you kill him it will become a secondary regen point, but probably that the game is too easy and can continue indefinitely if you do so !
Impressive work here within 48 Hours.
@senso Thanks ! :smile:
Simple ai and weapons, pretty good for compo, great job.
@slush Thank you ! I am glad you liked it !
@peter-jonsson Thank you very mutch !
That said, I played for 16 levels because the controls were so smooth and the game was so pretty. I hoped I would figure it out before I won/lost but I also wasn't sure how to do that.
You have an incredible kernel of a game here and its clear you have a talent for ambience and graphics! Keep up the good work
Soundtrack was really good. The distorted synth that plays when you persist in a level longer than 10 seconds is highly stress inducing which is a nice touch.
Controls felt pretty good too. The weapon that shoots blue flame is extremely satisfying, especially if you've been stuck with the "sniper" one for a few rounds that requires far more precision than my aim can provide :D
I also found a bug! [You can escape from one of the arenas and wander off :D](https://i.imgur.com/BUlHs9c.png)
Music is also very good.
My main issue was with the (lack of) difficulty of the game. I think I may have taken some damage at some point, but there's plenty of health lying around (would have loved a pickup sound for this) that I never got anywhere close to dying. The big boss was easily dodged, I kinda just gave up on attacking him after a while.
I stuck around until room 54, expecting there was a goal of reaching room 50 because of the text at the start: "In this exam you will have to **survie** (typo alert, should be 'survive') to 50 rooms"
All in all it looks good, it's a solid entry! I enjoyed the different weapons (though some lag on firing them felt a little iffy at times), and you can definitely continue to develop this into a more complete game!
You did a really good job there !~
Rest is nice!
good Job!
Your concept art for this game is impressive I'm gonna repost the full image that you posted in a post here for others to appreciate:

The jam theme is well implemented, in particular the fact that waiting too long before warping to the next room depletes your health feels like a clever nice touch. Different rooms present different challenges, and there's even a boss - big plus. It would have been cool to have the boss respawn, maybe with boosted stats every round to give a sense of impending doom haha, but the idea of having a second resting room as a reward, as you yourself wrote in description, is probably better suited for less experienced players and therefore has its advantages. Btw, I reached room 50 as I was asked in the tutorial explaination but the game just kept going: the idea of an endless progression is actually fine, but I would probably remove the "reach room 50" line to avoid confusion (that is, unless room 50 is the cake and you're quoting portal haha).
You did a really good job at differentiating all the different guns, they have a huge impact on gameplay and I had a BLAST spamming the blue one like there's no tomorrow. The slow yellow one, instead, goes in time with music which I found hilarious.
Speaking of music, it definitely fits the game atmosphere and does its job at constantly pumping you with adrenaline, but if you allow me an observation I found it a bit tiring on the ears after a while, due to repetion.
Anyway, I was pleasantly impressed overall. Good luck!
The experience was somewhat baffling in places as I really wasn't quite sure how to control my Zapp... and the weapons I ended up with didn't really seem to have any logical connection to what I did in the previous room.
But I really enjoyed messing about and shooting things randomly all the same!
I also loved that you managed to upload an HTML version of the game so Mac users like myself could join in the fun. Really appreciate the inclusivity there

(The UI looks off but it's centered in VR, video only shows left eye hah)
Maybe the UI looks off too because it is on a separate camera, but you probablty saw that. Thank you a lot !
@pete-thorne Thank you a lot !
@pier-v Thank you so much for your complete review ! I am glad you liked too the music, it was my first real song composed for a jam and I have really little experience of composition !
@liii22 Thank you ! For the time when you cannot shoot this is due to your weapon, like the sniper has some long reload time, but there is no feedback on it on ui so it is completely my fault.
Other than that bug, though the gameplay was quite fun!
But to be honest I was waiting much more narrative because of first screens :)
And there was something about 50 levels, I've survived more than 50 and nothing happens ((
Or I misunderstood something?

I was also a bit lost on what was going on and what was the goal to next level. The boss room appeared to be undefeatable every time I encountered it.
Well done!
this is hard!but really good!(rate back!)
Seriously well done on all fronts this is amazing!
* Aming felt a but strange simply because of the way how 3d graphics works
* The cooldown of weapons could be a bit better communicated
But still cool entry!
