Cool game with great art style! love the mechanics of swapping your attacks with enemies. Changing places with enemy provides strategical depth to the game. Only thing that I want to see is that after dying I want to restart the fight not start from the beginning. Overall great game! Love the dream fairy.

Had a lot of fun with this one, it's a really cool idea and I'd love to see where it goes. I haven't seen a game where trying to stay barely alive with healing magic is a completely valid strategy.

Main issue is that I kept hitting a bug where I'd attack right near the end counter and it would skip my turn and also still take another turn.

Love the art style and atmospheric music. The idea of swapping is pretty cool too.
It would be good to indicate in the game what attack and defence do. I can see little icons, and it looks like attack adds a multiplier to damage and 2 defence blocks entire attacks. Nice work!

I like the art style a lot, it looks super cute but unsettling and the music adds to it pretty well.

Hi @mathstr0fficial I like your game :smile_cat: Being able to swap the position with your enemy is an interesting idea. The graphics and UI looks really nice. It would be awesome if you add more animation when characters using their skills, but I understand that’s probably because of the time constraint.

That was really great! I managed to play through the whole thing, and I've gotta say, congratulations on being able to finish in time! It was surprisingly long and pretty content filled; while some things got annoying, like the same sounds being played without variation, those are just nitpicks in an otherwise really well made game ! It was intuitive while being innovative with the twist on turn-based combat, I was easily able to hop into it after looking at the UI layout! I thought this was a Jam entry while I played through it, so I was in awe when I saw it was a Compo game! XD

Noice entry, keep it up!

Love that you have to really think ahead and strategize since you can't risk weakening your enemy too much just to become them and lose. Pretty cool idea too for the theme.

I liked your game a lot ! I think the strategy is not really developed in the game, but for a 48h-made game, I was quite impressed by the result.

An interesting concept that needs a tad more thought in execution. Definitely not for slow readers. It's hard to strategize when you don't know what your skills do on body swap and 10 seconds is not enough time to know each one of your skills to properly do so.

I did wish there was some light bgm, even if a simple one.

Damn I loved the audio, and mood. That text part was really intriguing. Cool gameplay, and cool idea. I loved swapping out stuff and becoming different things. Also loved the whole "escape the nightmare, even if it's not as yourself" (paraphrasing ofc). Really cool. This is the type of concept that I'd love to see developed further. Good job! :)

Nice game!

The concept is fun, and the abilities are well designed to make it work properly.
It felt a bit slow sometimes, maybe swapping more often could be nice for a post jam version.

Great job on this!

I like the swapping of the enemy and the player mechanics, it forces you to think a bit ahead. The last enemy's attacks is a nice bit of inversion of the mechanics, really clever way to tell a story.
It is quite barebones so there isn't alot to talk about, but what is there is a very smart little nugget :)

The swap mechanic followed by the post-battle "move steal" could make for a great deckbuilder roguelite, I loved them! 🤩

Sadly I can't say the same of the sound design, which... I didn't really like. Sorry 😅

The sounds were stupidly fun, though, so I scored you pretty high in Humor :D

Very fun concept!! The theme was used in a rather weird way but I had a lot of fun trying to beat the monster when it's an enemy. The woodwind SFXs were nice and the art style worked well. Great job!!

Not the first time, but I still managed to pass the game. It's a very interesting idea. I like the style of the game and the music. Interesting attacks and actions from each character. And I especially liked the connection of the actions. It helped me out a lot :) Good result!
