Very good idea. I like the sound effect and how the sound pitch rise with every key press. However upgrades did not do much except second chair. Hope to see you expend this game. You could turn this into mobile game with few adjustment to the main mechanic. Great Job.

This game made me realize how bad I am at typing, or it might just have been the panic to keep the line empty. Anyway, I loved this game. Thanks for making it.

Great concept! I'm a big fan of the soundtrack, and the gameplay loop was unique. Moving my hand from one side of the keyboard to the other to go to the upgrade station felt a little clunky, but the audio and core gameplay loop are solid. I'm excited to see where this one goes!

The visuals and music are really awesome. You managed to achieve a lot in the time! I love all the details, like the clock ticking down, the animated barbershop sign, and all the bald customers (why does everyone want their heads shaved! ) The instructions are also really clear - it's very polished. However, the gameplay is quite dull - just a typing game. Perhaps there could have been a bit more to that cutting mechanic that involved the 10s theme more. Maybe you could have been typing idle chat to your customers - how was your holiday etc. But overall you did a fantastic job!

Super hectic game when you can't easily touch type - haha. Thankfully I pulled a pro-gamer move and found that there's no penalty for hitting the wrong key, so you can just slam your head on the keyboard and win.

Love the random hair styles, nice work.

Great pun title! Thought the game was a strong and original concept, and genuinely fun to play :)

I really like how you did the user interface. Most of the information you need to know is shown inside the game world itself, without cluttering the screen with UI elements (perhaps I should learn a thing or two from this ).

To the game itself - I had fun for a while. Typing is always a nice mechanic, but it gets a bit dull after a few minutes. The upgrades were a nice touch, but I didn't find much use for them except for the tool to "shave" off keypresses.

All in all, I think this game needs some more things to do in order to keep it interesting for longer periods, but it's a really solid entry regardless

I like it! I think some UI elements should be made more apparent. My vision isn't great, it took me a long time to realize I could see how much money I had.

The biggest thing I can think of to improve the game is showing multiple upcoming letters at a time. It's not fun for me to wait until I see the next letter, before pressing it. Whether you use sets of random letters or real words, it would be more fun to know the next 4 or 5 letters that need typed.

Other than that, this is a very complete game, especially for compo!

@deniz-aras thanks! It is a good compliment to heard that you want the game expended!

@henrik-ganard When I played, I find it hard also, I think the stress has a lot to do with it.

@falk-hoeppner The music was made easily using 1BitDragon. Not doing a promo here  but I really advise you this software if you want to create a music within minutes

@anxiousgamedev thanks! I wanted to make the haircutter not very skilled and only capable of shaving heads. Yes maybe having small talks - weather, vacations - is a nice idea. Thank you!

@budda You're indeed a pro-gamer for this move ! I hadn't think of that. thanks for playing!

@m11 Thank you for playing!

@mvasko2 Yes indeed, typing game has its own limits. thanks for your feedback

@nick-taggart I admit the money amount is way to small, I wanted it to be integrated in the salon and not be in an overlay. But you're right I should consider readability. Your advice on showing multiple letters is great!

Thank you all for your feedbacks, comments and ratings, it is precious!

Cool game, the typing mechanic is fun. Would like if it showed how much money I have on the screen.

I won :)

Good concept, with a few tweaks it could be quite fun. I would like to be able to see my money and maybe even be punished for pressing the wrong key. Loved the sound and graphics, good job.

I want to go faster! This is one of the best executed "type within 10 seconds" games. I wish it got more difficult faster because I'm piling up money and have nothing to do with it. Good job, great game!

This was a challenge for my poor typing skills lol. Great atmosphere, music and graphics, I was so amused by the randomly-generated (I assume they are randomly-generated) customers' appearances. I wish I could dismiss the dialogs through keyboard, since shifting to the mouse is awkward as you need both hands on the keyboard for the main gameplay. Also sometimes, there's a customer waiting in a chair, but a new one comes in and gets to sit first, not sure if that's intended. Pretty good entry, works well with the theme!

Nice typewriter game!

As @hungryroy wrote:
- Switching between mouse and keyboard is a little bit unhandy
- The first customer enters is going to be the last one

And the game could be a little bit more challenging (but that's very subjective XD) because I loved to play this game and and I hoped it would get harder :smiling_imp:

This game catched me. Good job

@vykri THAT is a review! Thanks a lot for your commitment! I found all you feedbacks very instructive, let me respond to some :
* The difficulty issue : you are quite a good typer so from the beginning of the game, it takes you less than 10 sec to make a haircut. So you never have a queue line, so it makes all improvements quite useless for you. In the case you take more than 10 second for a haircut, buying a second chair and buying clippers is the only way to reduce the queue line. But your rapidity shows my game lack a difficulty level or increasing level (asking more letters for instance)
* You missed the final goal of the game (at 2'27) which was to earn $250, so the game is having an end To avoid that, you suggested the double click on the dialog system.

Thank you for the notes, and the video, see you playing was very instructive!

I like this typewriter game!
I would like to see the keys to type a bit faster and maybe to spell out words?
The switch between mouse and keyboard is not optimal.
I got a little bug that a chair was already in use and people sat on it :)
I like that you have upgrades, thats amazing!
Its a good game you can be proud of yourself! <3
