In a world full of corn Johnny Biker has been tasked by President Boe Jiden to battle through hordes of zombies in order to eliminate their leader: Big Mama. However the zombie army has obtained a new power from the teralact crystal: they can't be injured while in the darkness. Our hero Johnny Biker must think on his feet by using matches that burn out after 10 seconds and the lightning that flashes every 10 seconds (that's two 10 seconds okay) in order to take out his enemies. However, he will have to find a greater weapon before he can take on Big Mama.

Both the embed and the itch page are broken. :frowning2:

Thanks for letting us know! I've fixed the itch link. It looks like the Ludum Dare embed still isn't working though.

Loved your Game Description. game was pretty fun, Enjoyed the 10 seconds of light mechanic. I definitely wish I had more matches or could see a little better in the dark at least. overall cool idea. lots of potential

I sadly didn't find all of the parts before the zombies got to me; the atmosphere and mechanics are fun and got me in a the mood for the spooky season. I found myself kiting zombies until I could round up and kill a good handful while exploring vs trying to fight them as they popped in, and the muzzle flash is a nice touch! I hope you keep working on it post-jam!

Really fun game! The risk reward of using matches for light vs combat worked really well and the visuals definitely set the mood. The lightning was also a great addition to give an alternative to matches. If you continue this post jam one thing you could add is a visual on the player to show they're being hurt (such as a hurt animation) to add some more impact to the zombie attacks

Hello again from LD27! We played each other's games 9 years ago with this same theme.

Is there a windows EXE? Embedded games run at like 5fps on my machine. Funny enough, my comment 9 years ago included "had some pretty bad framerates in some situations" lmao.

@croze Hello! Crazy that was 9 years ago and I still haven't learned how to optimize a game lol. I had some major deju vu this whole jam.

Do you have a link to the old jam stuff? It looks like it got removed at some point.

Nice game. Moody. For me shift button seemed useless. And i think it would better if collectable items had a little bigger hitbox: i had hard time with collecting couple of them.

The mood of the game is soo good. The labyrinth and enemies made a great creepy atmosphere. The graphic is also good. Nice work!

Visually pretty good. The problem i had is the lack of ressources and the weird wall making it really not obvious where you are supose to go

I didn't think corn mazes could be scary until now. The lighting creates a nice mood.
