That said, you might be able to make things *feel* a little faster if some of the platforms were moving, or there were moving obstacles... Things only feel as slow as they do because there's nothing to do while waiting for the power to change.
The music loop is great. Establishes a nice chill vibe very quickly -- you should get lots of "Mood" points.
I don't if it was intended but I really enjoyed the fact that you can "speed run" if you have the timing by waiting for the platform on the right to appear in level 4.
Overall, this is a great game. The mood is just right!
8 levels I feel was a great number too. Very well done!
@delightfullymad, Yes, 10 seconds is really long, maybe I had to make changes to the design at the beginning. Thanks for your comment! :)
@pennycook, yes, the truth is that I had a design flaw by having to make the player wait, maybe I shouldn't have adjusted so much to the theme to have a better design, hehe. Thanks for your feedback! ^^
@smilewood, I thought about adding the counters for each state, but it is true that the HUD was very saturated so I removed it. Regarding the SFX I left it for the last, I consider it important but this type of game is not so bad either. I wanted to put SFX but I didn't have time. Thanks for playing! :)
@jaybaus, Thanks for your comment! The truth is that I wanted to do more levels but I did not imagine that in this game it would cost me so much. Level 8 is the one I feel most proud of and I would have liked to add two more to reach ten, but it couldn't be. Thanks for playing! :)
@m4ttu, Yes, I thought just that in level 4, thanks for seeing it. I wanted to add animations but I planned wrong in the Compo. Thanks for your comment! :)
@sarah-alexa, Thank you for your very kind words! And thanks for appreciating level 8! The truth is that it took me more than an hour to do it and that in Compo is a lot. The music I wanted to make it very chill with an instrument but with a good chord progression. Thank you very much for the feedback and for playing! :)
Agree with the other commenters waiting the 10 seconds could feel like a slog - especially after figuring out how to do a puzzle. At least the music was chill so it was easy to hang around waiting.
Anyway, thank you for making this game.
ps: I read others' comments, and I don't think 10 seconds is too long. In my opinion, the game's mood is waiting.
May you could change it so the player can change the current effect somehow or make it a weighted random so the next effect is more often the necessary one than not. You could also shuffle the puzzles around a bit more so the next effect is the needed one if the player makes a _perfect_ run. But maybe I'm just way too impatient.
In level 6 I've gone to the lower "trap-path" twice because the portal switched the second before I went in. Some indication of the upcoming switch or maybe the synchronization of all state changes could help getting a feeling for the remaining time.
The things that I think the game can improve on has been mentioned already. Overall your game was great and wish I could play more levels.
Some thoughts:
- I like the classic graphics and the concept
- I would like to have a hint on the next change, maybe a list with future changes in the bottom
It wasn't immediately obvious to me that the speed bonus indicator meant increased speed in all directions because the image is pointing to the right
@sarah-alexa, yes, if I see that there is interest I will do more levels, thanks for your words!
@triangle-point, yes, maybe I should have put an animation or a similar counter so that the player knows when it changes, thanks for your feedback!
@thaprofesional, Thanks for your words, I'm serious, it took me time to design the levels, I didn't imagine it would take so long! thanks for your feedback
@jk5000, thanks for your words, yes, I had to do it a little faster than the ten seconds, thanks for your words!
@bobo-oh yeah I went too far with the ten seconds thing, thanks!
@dfyzet, yes, I have put the music mute because some of us can find it annoying  thanks for your feedback!
@lukas0842, thank you for your words!
@jiri-hysek yes i like old retro games, thanks for your words.
@kevin-du, thanks for your great words, I think the same! It is a quiet game, to play without haste, and I did it like this. But you know what? We live in a world where everything is immediate, people cannot enjoy the experience. Is incredible. Thank you, seriously, thank you very much for those appreciating the game, I really appreciate it. Thanks.
@steffo, thanks for your feedback.
@cooz, yes, that's why I made it mutable, thanks for your feedback.
@m0dsat, yes, I like to make the music louder but I always leave it for the last  At first I really wanted to make the levels simple so that the player learns. Thank you very much for your very detailed comment!
@gagapete, yes, thanks for your words, yes, very few like the fact of waiting! But yes, obviously I am aware of some flaws in the level design (especially in level 6 you mean). Thanks to comments like yours I want to improve in the next game. Thank you for your very detailed comment!
@roroto-sic, yes, perhaps the icons should have been more detailed, thanks for your words!
@quinn-patrick, yes, the sound effects thing is that I didn't have time. And the rhythm yes it is true that I had to put some kind of counter so that the player knew it, thank you for your words!
@bridgeonastick, Yes, the fact of waiting does not like much, thanks for your words, I hope you enjoyed a little while!
@jaykayey yes it should have indicated the change in the different states. Thanks for your feedback!
@yoko-san, thanks for ending it! It means a lot to me! :smiley!
@chingle I'll play then since I like this type of game. Thanks for your words!
@gonzalol, it had to have shown when it was going to change to the next state. Thanks for your feedback!
@ayced yes the icon maybe had to animate it or put a boot on it. I understand you about the ten seconds, thanks for your feedback!
@maxkyckling, yes, maybe he should have put a counter indicating how much is left for him to change. thanks for your words!
