Really enjoyed the humor aspect and I liked seeing all my gnomes being standing. Would have enjoyed if the skeletons started increasing in number quicker, since it became pretty easy with a bunch of my gnomes just sitting back and enjoying grandmas soup :-).

Gnome Speed Ahead! What starts as a difficult defense, soon turns the tide as more and more gnomes join the fight. I enjoyed playing this and it has a lot of potentially

Man, this is really good considering the time constraints! Love me some classic RTS.

The art animation and sound of this game are nice and make playing it enjoyable. I found the control scheme/camera a bit clunky.

I really like the idea, it's pretty funny. Sadly I couldn't select the gnomes...

I really liked showing those skellies whos the boss.

It was a bit awkward using right click to select and then left click to move, think id rather use left click for both.

Hahaha I found the atmosphere hilarious, it was chaotic but in a good way. Also, I planted 5 houses around the cauldron (one of them right on top of it) and gg long live the gnome kingdom

This game is hilarious! I ended up just bodyblocking the soup with my gnomes. A nice entry for this competition, you really hit the theme theme there, hilarious as well. It would be really aprreciated if there were a red icon signaling that you indeed managed to order your gnomes to attack that skelly.

With different gnome\house types, different skelly types, map design and some polish, you get a really cool steam level tower defence game which I would buy. Well done!

A silly concept and I love it. Had a bit of trouble getting the gnomes to go where I wanted sometimes but most of the time it was cool to see them rush to a skeleton and destroy him. Wish the game got harder or more enemies/gnomes were introduced to give me a reason to play longer.

It's super fun. It became a little bit easy at some point though, as ninnec said it would've been nice if they started coming quicker. Sound design was nice too, I was definitely immersed.

Something minor but worth mentioning: the right-click thing sometimes clashes with the browser right-click. I feel like the game could use some simpler controls as well.

Good job!

Sometimes clicking to place a mushroom would result in my gnomes running away from what they're doing. The concept is pretty cool though, managing the spawners every 10 seconds and the waves every 10 seconds.

Fun concept, I found myself playing it until there were too many gnomes for the browser to handle. I liked the 'hey' it felt oddly satisfying.

Fun jam game - played until I had an army at my finger tips that protected my cauldron just through existing heh. Cool concept and fits well with the theme. Great job

That was fun, but I found myself fighting with the mechanics more than with the skeletons. It was really confusing trying to send groups to fight because they would stop moving when I went to select another group, or they would run off screen, or hide behind the houses.
Technical issues aside, I think a fast paced mini-rts like this would be really cool with more buildings and unit types.

Cute game! I will say, it felt like my gnomes listened to me maybe half the time which felt frustrating. But for a game jam rts, this is pretty impressive!

very entertaining to farm an army of gnomes
I was playing for quite a while, at some point it's impossible to lose, maybe the gnomes could have less hp.
Which technology did you use? Did you just make a 3d game without engine? I was inspecting a little bit the page and found a "Three.js" which is a library to load and render 3d models. It's very impressive that you achive such a nice result :clap_tone3: :clap_tone3:

@gamedevtraum the game is built with Three.js and bitECS, which are more than enough to have fun, and imho liberating from the weight of an engine! Full source is here: https://github.com/nikolajbaer/ld51

A really nice idea and well looking graphics! The implementation of the theme was done pretty well, although I found the dwarves not always behaving quite like I wanted. But I imagine this to be quite hard to be done and overall, I quite enjoyed your game!

This is a really awesome prototype, I'd love to see it developed further.

What a nutty game! Loved the creativity. I had a little trouble with the controls, because I think I expected left-click to drag/select and right-click to move (like some RTS).

Also, I found that I had to micromanage my forces more to attack skeletons, even when they were right nearby. I would have found it more fun to watch all my little minions just go crazy and chase down the skellies!

@hawkin @urjam thanks, at the 11th hour I implemented a "defensive" mode where the gnomes observe all the skellies in their sector.. and auto-attack that.. but I don't think I got the mechanics quite right since they chase off on random skeletons and don't obey orders.. lol, but in a way them being a bit obstinant is kind of amusing and brings a little character...

Pretty fun game, although definitely needs some better difficulty scaling. It's a bit tricky in the beginning but quickly becomes unlosable

pretty fun game, although I keep forgetting to place down the houses, it would be cool if the button to place down the houses was automatic or maybe a button in the world above the pot

gnomin' dem nasty skellies!

Awesome idea for a RTS, and a very rare sight, too! Sometimes the gnomes felt a bit unresponsive, but other than that I can't complain.
