Crystal Fetcher is a scavenger-hunt like game where each round, you have 10 seconds to collect specific crystals and minerals. Unity_b0whHwwElD.png

How To Play: Each round, after a 4 seconds cooldown, you will be given a list of crystals you have to find. You can use the colored bloom that crystals emit to track them. If you collect the correct crystals, you will receive money. If you collect the wrong crystals, you will lose money. If you end the round without having collected all the required crystals, you will also lose money. If your balance becomes negative, you lose the game by becoming bankrupt.

I like the concept of scavenging, but there isn't much to this game. Just run around and hope you see the right crystal. Perhaps it would be more fun if I was having to avoid traps or dodge enemies? The graphics look a bit unfinished. I like the glowy effects on the crystals and the candles but the main character isn't animated and the game feels a bit lifeless as a result. The sound effects also feel really out of place - more like from a space theme. Just to note the resolution is wrong for me - and there was no fullscreen option that I could see.

Pretty difficult! I like the idea of the money that doesn't force you to start from the beginning whenever you lose. Sometimes the level felt a bit cramped and it was hard to move around; I think the collision boxes were sometimes unforgiving. Nice job!

Mad rush to quickly map out the arena was nice. For easier level maybe add some kind of "radar" to help out.

First thing foremost, camera was super claustrophobic accompanying how fast the player was moving. Although, I do understand the need to be that fast because 10 seconds to check an entire cave is pretty brutal... and this game really relies heavily on RNG.

What would be cool is to provide more hints that would guide the player to the location (and I guess you did that with the glow effect), however 10 seconds to find an increasing number of gems in a very big location is not nearly enough time. It's more of a panic run to get to scout out the entire map from one location to the next without getting stuck on walls.

The artwork is good programmer artwork and works well with the overall setting and tone of the game. Meaning they're all consistent with what you're going for.

A scavenging hunt game can be really fun! I just think with some more polish and adding additional gameplay mechanics to make the scavenging hunt more interesting will be beneficial!

I wish you the best in your game dev journey :D

The character was fairly hard to control due to the slipperyness of the floor

I like the idea of this game. The art and lighting go well together and I like how the 10 seconds only applies to rounds with a short cooldown between them. I would like to see crystals either be a lot more frequent so it's easier to find or to have the camera zoomed out to show the whole map however. I found sometimes there just wasn't any way to find the right crystal in time.

Fun game though! Movement felt good, I like how the crystals emit their colour as lighting and things were simple and easy to pickup!

The sound startled me the first time! I liked the glow of the crystals to help find them quickly. I got hung up on the corners from time to time. Eventually, at level 16: everything locked up. Some hints to where the next crystal colors are spawning might be nice. The movement was much faster than I expected, which was nice. Good job!

Nice art! I had no idea how to find the crystals other than to wander randomly, which usually lead to death haha. Fun concept!

After a couple of playthroughs I managed to find a crystal or two. I really like the look of this game, even if the gameplay feels a little unbalanced by being too random. The pixel art and glowing effect are really charming.

really cool concept but needs more refinement since the zoomed in camera made it really hard to find any crystals and if you run at full speed you can not see in front of you.

Cool! I like the artwork and lighting effects. Very punishing at the beginning because the map is so large, but once I worked out a strategy and became better at recognizing the difference light colors it became more manageable. My personal best was round 18, but the browser-version game froze suddenly in the middle of a round.
