Love it! You could easily turn this into a tool to teach kids how to type by adding a time limit on typing prompted words.

Made it to the end! It's pretty fun to try. One change I suggest is to allow keeping the directional keys pressed down to move because tapping each time you want to much can get annoying after a while. Like @david-stevenson said, this could be a fun educational tool to teach children how to type.

Nice game, but I have the impression of waiting a long time, the tasks are quickly done and then nothing is done for several seconds. Nice art and audio.

I loved your game ! It was cute, not too repetitive. I was spamming my keys like a crazy person at the end to finish the game, I almost lost all the pictures haha !

I enjoyed this a lot! The art style was super charming and the gameplay was wonderfully simplistic. For a jam game it's imperative to get through a game mechanic that you can implement quickly that's still fun and you did EXACTLY that!

I love it! Best game I played so far. Really felt like a hacking Frog typing important things on my Numpad. Only Critic I got is the constant mashing WASD to move. Would be nice just to hold the button. Liked the little Story and of course the frog. Maybe it would also be nice to add moving trash bins. So you actually can get caught. Only got one time in the trash, but I only because of curiosity. Stayed a bit longer on the ending Screen for the music! Overall cool.

Hope you guys had fun!

@oakhardt @shaukaula @lemare thanks a lot for your constructive feedback .

Was our first game jam ever and the first time we created a game for half of the team so we lost lot of time and did not succeed to add in time real threat or mecanics that make the progress harder like we first planned . As for the mashing WASD vs keeping it down it is actually a great debate in the team xD

And yes we had a hell out of fun :) game jam are the best

@ginahe If you are indeed to change it to hold down WASD, then I would recommend adding a half second (or so) delay in motion, rather than smooth, and then move them on the grid as you’re already doing. I think the “hop” between placement would be appropriate for a frog. :)

@ginahe I like intro, graphics and audio but I have no idea how to play the game. Should I avoid dustbins? Once I enter it I never get out. :-)

@paveldlouhy I admit that this is not very explicit indeed . You can use ZQSD or WASD to move in the maze looking for the photo . If u get in a bin just mash this same button and you will go out but be carefule to not mash to much if you don't want to get right into it again

Super neat little, controls and mechanics were pretty intuitive too. I beat the first level and get a grey screen with victory music, not sure if there's more to it or not? But this is really nice, and awakes my nostalgia for old games like Chip's Challenge. I really like the aesthetic and the frog thing, too. :) Good job!

Very nice little game, it is a good idea to have to write number to continue. Goog game !

This was a cute little game! I liked the sidebar on itch it made me think of old arcade games. It made me realize I really need to work on my number typing! Looking at an earlier comment I see that there is indeed a way to get out of the bin! Certainly something to put in the tutorial next time, but over, fun cute little entry :)

Mazes are fun! I thought the maze part was really well done; the graphics and the fog-of-war felt very slick. But I didn't like the number typing part; it just felt like an annoying pop-up.

I made it to the end :sunglasses: cool idea and very well made. I like the graphics and the music. It might be more fun to type words in rather than 3 digit numbers though. Also spamming wasd to move across the map gets a bit tiring but I get that it's design choice.
