Escape the Island by john-wuller
After barely surviving a fatal accident, you, the sole surviving scientist, remain as a witness to the aftermath of a disastrous experiment gone wrong.
Forced to wander the island looking for scraps, you must repair your chopper as fast as possible to escape to civilization!
Beware, however: the disaster has left the island cracked! Just like Atlantis, the island slowly sinks into the poisoned ocean water every 10 seconds.
You must navigate the island, bridge the gaps by collecting scrap metal, and find parts to rebuild your chopper!

The game has some 'interesting' quirks with its drifty motion (takes a while for a turn to register), floaty 'gravity', and odd collisions that I both want fixed and yet want left alone because some of those quirks made this game so fun in the first place.
I think these are more polish points than anything against the concept itself. The concept is solid. I'd like to see this turned into a real game!
One note, for hard mode, this game could really benefit from a minimap or something. Some kind of indicator for the parts, as it becomes quite like a maze once enough parts of the island collapse.
Otherwise, a solid entry!
Edit: oh, one more note, the scrap pile pickups and the scrap platforms look VERY similar to one another, and in a bad way. It might be good to add more visible differences like color or even just making the pickup rotate could help.
As for gameplay though and not the hilarious setup, at least at points, it's an interesting one it had relatively simple controls which was nice since I missed the help tooltip, though tbf I prefer that rather than making me click through it so that's nice. and it's a little nicer than just have a few screens of text on a tutorial screen.
It's definitely got a few janky hitboxes, though they're in the players favor so they weren't too annoying which is nice, just something to mention. The only real addition I can suggest would be some sort of indication as to the direction of the helicopter, it's not needed, but it would make it easier rather than walking to the edge everytime. Though that's really just QOL
Overall a really nice little game to run through, I guess one other addition that could help would be some sort of score system, but for a quick one and done run or beat the difficulty it's definitely a nice one.
However the Sound and graphics are really great, love them!
Well done.
