LEXO 🐀
The Time of the Rats
Gameplay:
The game is set in a clockhouse, where an unfortunate accident has happened to an unlucky machine, so it finds itself constantly restarting in every 10 seconds, and its only hopes are some mind-controllable lab-rats and a handy chip attacher tool.
Try to get through the not-so-difficult (yet.) maze with your puppets, solve puzzles (at least 3) with them, so you’ll maybe, maybe find a solution to this conundrum.
When you find a solution to a puzzle, the main ticker and the moving cogs will slow down, as you change the behavior of the main clock itself.
Oh, another thing. Our cute, playful and harmless cat, Lexo, has gone missing. We’d really appreciate, if you’d call us if you see her somewhere along the way.

Controls:
You can control the player character with the A (left) and D (right) and “detach” from the currently “used” rat with the Backspace button.

Fits the theme pretty well.
The music is pretty chill and gives the game atmosphere.
It also looks good and I like the animations
as there's nothing under it. 📦⬆️
The controls were mostly fine, but they got really janky on the rotating gears. I really appreciate that they were simple, making it easy to get started.
I found it a little annoying how I had to start at the beginning every time I died. I understand that's the main mechanic, but maybe if restarting was quicker it wouldn't be an issue (for me).
I eventually gave up after raising the box and encountering the three spokes with the gear. It wasn't obvious to me what to do next and I didn't want to spent many :rat:s figuring it out.
Overall, I think, with tweaks, this has the potential to become a really fun and original "full" game.
Art was incredibly detailed!
I had problems unterstanding under what circumstances the cat attacks, but more often than not it would leave me alone.
Great puzzles, took me a few mice before i understood not lower the pulley with the weight of a dead rat :)
