Fun fact: Every 10 seconds, the space expands by 148km.

In this game, you are chased by the cosmic police. The only way out is the cosmic horizon!

Destroying enemy ships gives you more speed.

POST COMPO: Gaining greater speed than 1500 units makes you destroy enemies when you crash into them.

Have fun!

CONTROLS:

Z - rotate left

X - rotate right

SPACE - shoot

ARROWS - move

BONUS CONTROLS:

O/P - zoom (developer feature)

PLEASE DOWNLOAD THE "RELEASE BUILD", IT DOESN'T REQUIRE VC REDIST TO BE INSTALLED

POST COMPO BUILD AVAILABLE - LOWER DIFFICULTY AND CRASHING AGAINST AN ENEMY WHEN HAVING SPEED GREATER 1500 units KILLS THE ENEMY

good effort, would have maybe been better if the controls worked based off of the direction you were pointing instead.

It's hard to not fly into the enemy bullets when you're flying at like 2000m/s. Pretty good effort tho! Ps, I like how the stars in the background move at different speeds when you pan left and right, makes a pretty convincing depth effect

Played the post-compo release. Probably should have gone with a traditional control scheme, but I do like the movement without any after-speed (whatever that's called). Managed to escape the horizon by destroying a few ships then speeding to one side while shooting bullets. The cops are acting a bit weird, 10 of them move very slowly then 1 just lunges at you and kills you. Saying all that, congrats for making all this in such a short time.

Very difficult for me to play with these controls. But it'a a good Asteroid game!

Cool idea,
but flying around with this controls is kinda painful.
Maybe try navigating with the mouse or flying into the direction you are pointing.

As has been said already, I feel the controls are weird and don't feel good. The concept does seem good, though.
I don't know if it is intended, but the bullet hell can get overwhelming quiet fast.

I did like the intro zoom to the level, it was cool.

Well done.
