EVERY TIME YOU BLINK by robobarbie
* IF THE EMBEDDED GAME IS NOT WORKING, YOU CAN PLAY AN ALTERNATE WEB VERSION HERE ON ITCH.IO *

DESCRIPTION:
Recently single, you reconnect with an old friend and agree to get a house together. But when it comes time to sign the papers, you hesitate.
How is it that I'm so 'important' to you and yet you're always somewhere else?
HOW TO PLAY:
At every blink, you'll be faced with a new puzzle/scene. Solve each puzzle/complete all scenes in order to achieve the ending.
PUZZLE 1: Wordle. Correctly guess the secret word. Yellow squares mean right letter, wrong space, and green squares mean right letter, right space.
PUZZLE 2: Remember. Remember the words given to you and recite them back when you see the puzzle again.
PUZZLE 3: Wordsearch. Find all words in the square.
PUZZLE 4: Wedding Math. Budget for your wedding and get all your expenses correct.
KNOWN BUGS NOT FIXED FOR THE JAM:
- If you enter an answer too close to the "blink" transition, you might get a messed up bg for the final scene. You can still finish the game.
- Sometimes, when finishing the game, the puzzles will still be completed when you start a new game.
3. Sometimes the Wordle puzzle doesn't display your attempts. In that case, to bypass the puzzle, please reference the puzzle guide below for the answer.

Love the art and the mood.
I'm absolutely in awe.
My only issue at all was that the thingy like wordle was so long that it was hard to think in 10 second gaps.
I think that may have been part of the point though so it was uncomfortable, but served a purpose.
I have no real critiques for this one.
Well done.
I wish them a happy life. ;-;
Felt a bit too real at times. Thanks for the experience.
I like when games make you feel certain things and this game does that, both with the different challenging puzzle with feelings of frustration and success and with the intriguing conversation eager to learn more and really gets empathic with the characters. The cross word was the hardest puzzle for me by far, maybe that's just me.
Really amazing entry, can't give much critique, just good job I must say!
Genuinely love this game - my favourite one of the jam!
10 seconds has never felt shorter.
I was so engrossed! i dont know how long i played for but i was hooked from begginning to end and was dissapointed when it ended.
Very nice idea with the puzzles and the story aspect. But overall just a great vibe, and well put together. Well done!
The puzzle I had the most difficulty with was the "wordle" one (maybe because I'm not a native english speaker, or also maybe because I'm terrible at it generally :p). But I still solved it eventually! All games felt satisfying to resolve, and they felt consistent with the story.
Globally the game provides a sweet story and mood. I had a good time discovering it!
Everyone says the wordle puzzle is hard, but that crossword puzzle kicked my ass!
I enjoyed the puzzles and the feeling of your thoughts jumping around, but damn, finding words in 10 seconds is hard! The story was very cute!
fully polished game.
Each and Every Steps are Aligned Properly and Very nice Graphics. Good One.
No, but I really adore the design of this one. You did so much with just a few simple mechanics. The best part is how much the gameplay supports the feeling/experience of the game. Having an emotionally difficult conversation with your best friend (who you have feelings for) and everything finally clicking into place, and things becoming clear, portrayed literally through sorting out the turmoil of your thoughts as represented by puzzles until it's all solved and there is nothing more distracting you, it's perfect.
Perfect incorporation of the theme, too, and a special shout-out for the anti-frustration features. I was incredibly grateful that once I was at the "Take your time" stage of dialogue, that screen was down to 3 seconds instead of 40 so I didn't have to wait long before getting back to the last remaining puzzle.
An extremely rewarding experience, than you.
