A very good thriller! Music perfectly conveys the atmosphere, and the process itself really keeps you in suspense! And when you get "Last stop: 0.01s" - that's a real joy!
The character runs a little "twitchy", but that doesn't stop you from enjoying the game.

Nice game with a simple concept! Love the ambient music!

Do not forget to upload the source code as well for the COMPO!

Really cool idea! I kept trying to maximize my time (hit about 50 seconds at best) but it made me realise how bad I am at counting (apparently). Dug the music, the color palette and the lighting it's a real mood. Some animation could have really added to it.. and I was thinking it'd be cool to have stuff near the top of the screen but I like the use of negative space so ignore that..

Very simple but engaging game. It makes good use of the theme and the music is great as well.

I love the ambient music. This test my precision counting at the pace of a clock xD. Two times I was stopped before the light off but I got the game over message. Maybe there is a delay between the internal clock and the visuals.

It took me a while to figure out what was meant with not stopping earlier than the last time!
But then the optimal strategy seems to be to purposefully keep the first runs short so that you can run for longer; but stopping early doesn't seem as fun!
Either way, very good fit for the theme and the music is absolutely gorgeous and a great fit. An easy improvement could have been to add a lights-off/on sound effect to make the light changing feel more real.

Looks nice and original concept, but it seemed like there is no end-goal (like run for 1min to escape ) or no reason to try to run longer or closer to 10s.

61.05 seconds, using entirely brain-counting!

Simple, but has a lot of potential, I love the idea of testing the player's sense of time.

@chuckiee it depends on the game you want to make. At the moment (without goals and levels) looks more like an arcade game, where you have just to beat your best score 🙂
A nice idea could be to implement an online leaderboard to challenge other players with the best duration time... having the time to implement that 😁

The best strategy, of course, is to run only one second, then two, then three, but doing so while braincounting is difficult. Maybe with a rhythmic music it will be easier

Interesting concept and it's pretty fun, but it feels little bit unpolished.

Simple but works! Felt atmospheric in a way but missed a walk animation with things like footstep sounds that echoes into the environment. Managed to get down to last stop 0.015 before failing!

Good job completing your entry! I ran for like 9 seconds on the first go and didn't understand I needed to try to minimize movement to start. I also liked that it didn't start until I started moving. I think maybe some obstacles would have been nice as you get further but a nice concept!

The atmosphere is really cool, gives off that liminal space kind of vibe.

@davidbradbury adding obstacles is a good idea, thank you for your suggestion :)

This is a great simple concept I haven't seen many games that make the challenge for the player tracking the 10 seconds themselves.

Goodness that's kinda hard! It's a great challenge, and unique - I haven't seen anything like it. Love the atmosphere. Can you actually win the game? Would be nice to know if there's an official ending, and would add to player motivation to keep trying. I also echo what @davidbradbury said - some obstacles as you get further would be cool! Anyway, I like it! good job!

ha ha .. Love the atmosphere. The sound, the lights. At first I didn't got it but once I had to time the run I felled challanged. Nice one!

I really liked the simple concept - however I would've liked something more in the background or something to show the light was going off. Took me a while to realise that you needed to be longer than the last time.

Interesting concept, which creates a nice tension making for a great mood!

I think I am pretty good at counting seconds, because I stopped very close to the 10 second mark and then immediately died :joy:

Is there an ending?

Pretty nice, managed to be tense despite the simple concept (the music really helped there). I was confused at first, as the instructions are a little confusing, but eventually I figured it out. My best score was 37 seconds.
